I get my info from Indonesians (co-workers) themselves. They show me the 'clips' of stuff you don't normally see on TV of what happens there. The Govt NOW is trying to do something and save face ONLY because of the new growing opposition of the Borneans (who come out in the thousands, full armed in traditional attire, to both protest and 'defend' themselves), Balinese, smaller minority traditional non-muslim tribes, Timorese, Melanesian nations and now Phillipines. All of whom are now suggesting 'Alliance' against 'Moslem' Indonesia. Rich Saudi's have visited Indonesia months ago to re-invigorate the Moslem cause (even in Bali).
The Indo Govt is now trying a 'save face' and 'save their authority' because of this, especially after hundreds of thousands of Indonesians around the world held protests.

It's a case of 'too late' for the Politicians there - they originally supported and pushed the Extremism, then played innocent by turning a blind eye and now they are caught by their own device with the growing opposition and now they are trying to take down their Frankenstein.
We all know what will happen. Allah is greater than Politics in Indonesia and soon - the overthrow of the Govt from within will commence.

When the other 'big' wars begin, the Indo Govt will be no more and the 'Alliance' will invade Indonesia.

Nothing I have posted indicates this and indeed it is not the case. My dislike is for the Middle Eastern cultures and by default the religion they use to perpetrate their abhorrent practises.

The Indonesian Government doesn't care what religion an individual practices as long as they accept the sovereignty of Jakarta. Indonesia throughout it's history has been beset with separatist movements - the eternal pull of the periphery away from the centre of an archipelago of islands which were melded into a nation state by first the Dutch and then later, the Javanese themselves when the took over. Resistance is painted as an "us" versus "them", usually on tribal/ethnicity/religious grounds but in reality it has little to do with religion. If you look at the history of the Indonesian occupation of West New Guinea and then later, East Timor, that is obvious. The Indonesia occupation was based on politics, not religion. The local religious practices were allowed to continue as they had, before the start of the occupation. Roll Eyes

Couldn't agree more, BigOl64. However, I recognise that boat has well and truly sailed. Short of another Habibie moment, the Indonesians will continue to control that half of the island. We had our chance in 1960 but were ill-equipped to enforce it. Our "great and powerful friends" had indicated that they favoured Indonesia over us and so we were forced to shut up and step back. Sukarno won that and so the UN handed West Papua over to them.

They are killed easily because they are untermensch, like they did with the Timorese. Deliberately murdering civilians is easier if you think they are nothing more than animals.

You don't get civilian deaths in the 10s if not 100s of 1000s if you consider the women and children you are shooting as human.

The thing that has always stunk is the way we allow there sh1t to continue and the mere mention of their murderous behavior sets the fkkheads off and we slime straight in with a heart felt apology for pointing out they are murdering innocent civilians.
