AIRPORT security has been ramped up and travellers should brace for delays and extensive screening measures following overnight terror raids in Sydney.

Speaking this morning, following the arrest of four men over an alleged terror plot that reportedly involved blowing up an aircraft, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said the country had strong security systems in place to prevent acts of terrorism.

The Prime Minister confirmed the investigation was ongoing and the arrests were made in connection with a bomb plot that involved an aircraft.

The government also confirmed it was an
Islamic State inspired plot.

Mr Turnbull said security has been increased across all major airports as a result of the investigation. The four men have not been charged.

“Every day, every hour, we are focused on ensuring that our defences against terrorism are stronger than ever,” Mr Turnbull said.

“That our co-operation is tighter than ever. That our co-ordination is swifter than ever before. “Now, we have strong transport, security systems in place in Australia, to prevent acts of terrorism.”

It is not yet clear if the alleged plot targeted a domestic or an international flight.

I don't believe a word of it Bobby.  When these raids happen with TV cameras everywhere, my bullshit political propaganda radar goes ballistic.

Let's see what charges, let alone convictions come out of it all.

After all, it's not as though Turdfull needs a distraction from Liberal disasters and political inertia, is it?

Greggy & Aussie,
you can afford to think whatever you wish - I can't -
Australia can't.

We have to fight these terrorists till we win
through to absolute victory.

If that means chopping off a few heads along the way then so be it.

I too would advise caution on this one. Remember that young Indian doctor who proved not to be a terrorist after all, and how his false arrest caused no end of embarrassment to our security agencies, and how he ended up with a king's ransom in compensation?

There was nothing substantial on the news.

There are enough convictions to fill a special jail with Muslims.

A jail that will accommodate only the worst of the Muslims is now being built in NSW to stop them making forced conversions of other prisoners.

I wish 'Gaols' were more like the old days of Penal Colony Australia. Those things could really break the spirit of a Prisoner down and 'dissolve' all aspects of a man's original evil nature. Such Gaols were able to 'break' the Prisoner, like a Horse needs breaking.
These days, our 'Jails' (because that's what they have become - USA versions  Roll Eyes ), now allow the 'evil' to blossom 'inside'. Prisoners abusing other Prisoners, drugs and other contraband being prolific and easily attained. The Anita Coby murderers now sit pretty in Prison and take out their fantasies on 'new younger' prisoners more so than they did on people 'outside'.

When you send a Prisoner out to do many years of 'chipping rocks' - you are 'chipping away' the evil that made the Prisoner what he was.

No wonder Moslem Extremists found Australian 'jails' as 'recruitment office' paid for by Australian Tax-Payers.

These so-called 'Modern Rehabilitation' Gaols/Jails that have been set up in Australia can only work
AFTER

the Prison has broken and cleansed the Prisoner of his evil nature.
Until the, the Rehabilitation just 'fuels' his evil with more abilities at his disposal.

The confusion is the 'sympathy' for the 1788 'convict' that was sent here for stealing 'bread' ...not murdering innocents, raping, killing, etc.
If the Australian Government can't tell the difference because its got that USA fear of having the 'ability to discriminate' - then all is lost.

This is Aquascoot's special talent ~ deconstructing egotistical horses until they realise that there is someone more powerful and more important than they are.

This was how borstals worked in the UK before the Far Left 'progressives' took control of every position of power in Britain.

Not enough to charge obviously.  They even had to trot off to a Magistrate begging to be allowed to keep this four in custody without charge for a further 24 hours.

I think they can hold suspected terrorists for a week without charges
under some new laws.

An 'effective' Prison is one that can break a Prisoner down
until he (or she) is actually 'dying' from the experience.
The time when they start 'dying' is the moment that their 'evilness', which has sustained them, has thus 'given up the Ghost'.
Only then, can 'rehabilitation' occur and even succeed.
The movie 'Papillion' touches on this lightly.
Where Steve McQueen's character is broken down until he 'gives up the Ghost' and his essence or soul is nothing more than the 'raw beginnings' of his life. He finds that all he has left is his 'innocent' beginnings and when released - he comes to know his true 'Freedom' from his criminal self.

Not necessarily.

Terrorism is a whole new ball-game in which it is enough for the security forces to move in on suspects upon even the weakest of suspicions. If these guys prove to be innocent, they will be released, but the police will have done their job in quarantining them while they investigate their guilt or innocence.

Poor Aussie.

The ABC has been told police found items that could be used to make a homemade bomb when they raided the house at Surry Hills.

It is understood that authorities believe the group was intending to smuggle the device onto a plane in order to blow it up.
