They are not charged.  I don't even know what they were arrested for, does anyone?

Plotting a terrorist attack on an aircraft.

Really????  And who arrested them?  NSW Plod or AFP?

Australian Federal Police (AFP), ASIO and New South Wales Police conducted operations in the inner-city suburb of Surry Hills, and the south-west suburbs of Lakemba, Wiley Park and Punchbowl.

The AFP said four men had been taken into custody.

Yes, Bobby, I have read all that, including what the AFP allegedly said.  In whose custody are they.......NSW Plod or AFP?  Fact is.....we do not know, and until we do, it is all just schmedia speculation.

The sophistication of the alleged plot strongly indicates help from overseas and this will no doubt be an angle the police are looking at closely.

If an established extremist network in Australia is thinking in terms of taking down a plane with a bomb, they are showing a frightening level of ambition that swims against current of spontaneous self-radicalisation to which we've grown used in the Islamic State era.

Don't be cynical again Aussie.
When the Feds turn up it means big trouble for those guys.
They need more than a bush lawyer to help them -
they need at least a QC & a whole team behind him.

It's vaguely possible there'll be a huge payout in the end.

Enough for them to buy a real bomb.  Cool

It's only one cell that's busted -

there could be more.

It's time for some water boarding.

Could you imagine what it would take to keep the lid on such a huge conspiracy of fabricating multiple terror plots and fitting up suspects.

Yes.

It would take a very corrupt, criminal government.

And, guess what - we have one of those right now.
