Hard to beat Emirates or Qatar.

On Monday, police officers painstakingly sifted through garbage bins at a unit block in Sproule St, Lakemba linked to Khayat with materials seized including a flight slip with the number of a route from Jakarta to Sydney and a frequent flyer number.

Today, Etihad Airways released a statement saying it is assisting police with the investigation.

“The Etihad Airways aviation security (AVSEC) team is assisting the Australian Federal Police (AFP) with its investigation and the matter is ongoing. Etihad is complying fully with the enhanced security measures at airports in Australia and monitoring the situation closely. Safety is the airline’s number one priority,” an airline spokesman said.

Police said today the document had now been ruled out of the investigation after confirming it had belonged to another occupant of the apartment block

It was very evident to astute people that the evidence, in this case, was garbage. This won't matter to Magistrate Skippy Rozencwajg who considers that evidence is a waste of the courts time instead of waste being a bad smell on the judicial system.

Police should have employed some professional garbologists in this case instead of immersing themselves in soiled detritus of human life.
