Rubbish. He has never expressed a political view for either side in his reporting.

That would make him utterly unique.

With all of these political commentators it's not long before their egos take over from simply delivering a non-partisan and impartial viewpoint. They simply can't help themselves, and it's not long before their biasses appear in their writings and commentary - and Laurie Oaks is no exception.

"Of Newspaper journalists, Andrew Bolt (3.5%) was most often mentioned by Australians as being often biased, followed by Piers Ackerman (3%) and Miranda Devine (1.5%). Ray Martin (6%) and Kerry O’Brien (4.5%) were the most frequently mentioned TV reporters or journalists who were often biased, along with Laurie Oakes (2%) and Richard Carlton (1%).

link

Andrew Bolt and Piers Ackerman are media commentators who deal in opinion and personal viewpoint ~ that's their trade. But then we have the likes of Kerry O'Brien and Laurie Oakes who have always presented themselves as journalists whose business was all about delivering the news without prejudice or bias, and so the percentages in the Morgan Poll is a lot more damning of these 'journalists' than it is of the commentators.

Really dumb poll with obviously flawed results.

Herbert says that he was left wing but most who complain about him say he is the other way. He was certainly on board with Howard and nobody spread more stories about Rudd and Gillard ?

Thats kinda impossible as the left are entrenched in media and all other forms of blood sucking tax squandering environments.

He sais himself that he has voted Labor and Liberal at different times and that he does not like journalists who show a personal bias in their work.

Yet the majority who complain about him consider him just another ugly bloated rightard.

The truth is that he printed negative stories about both.

That has to count in his favour.
