Why not have a postal vote about every contentious issue?

(1) Death penalty for the most heinous crimes.

On 11 March 2010 Federal Parliament passed laws that prevent the death penalty from being reintroduced by any state or territory in Australia.

Did we get a postal vote on it?

Why not have a postal vote about every contentious issue?

(1) Death penalty for the most heinous crimes.
(2) Euthanasia
(3) What illicit drugs can be made legal.
(4) More or less power to the State Govts.
(5) Green energy policy.
(6) Nuclear power.
(7) debt ceiling for the Govt. ( or will it be 100% of GDP before long?)

Why do homo rights have such a high priority?

Let's have a binding plebiscite on every possible important issue.
There are far more serious issues.

Why just print one issue on piece of paper when dozens of
issues could be printed on the same piece of paper?

I'll tell you why -

the politicians don't want us to have a say -
they want to decide for us.

We live in a fake democracy.

Is it true that Alan Jones was charged with 'outraging public decency' and 'committing an indecent act'?

What exactly did he do?

Anyone?    Undecided

"outraging public decency" seems pretty ambiguous.

Was that the Toilet incident ?

Or maybe what the Australian Rugby half back was doing with him in the car park ???

Then why a postal vote on one issue? -

the same piece of paper could contain many issues.

I don't know - I'm trying to find out.

He was arrested in a public toilet, in London, for 'outraging public decency' and 'committing an indecent act'.

But I can't find out exactly what it was he did.

Sir Booby, do you know?

Laws can be changed. That's what this is about.

Because the government is stalling.

... and also counting on the fact that the longer this drags on, the more resentment for the issue manifests.

How many people on this forum alone are voting 'no' and citing the reason that they are sick of it all?

You married your wife for her vagina, dear boy.

What happened with that?

Unchanged, georgeous as ever. (What would you know?) Was there any expectation otherwise?
