If I were to vote NO, and I may very well not vote at all, I would be voting in favour of marriage as it has always been understood.

I feel the vote is an imposition by loud minority grabbing public attention due to their influence with the homosexuals in media, and politicians who do not want to alienate any votes. The catch phrase "marriage equality" is their work. Its deceitful. Homosexual life and heterosexual life can never be equal.

Phrasing like marriage equality is intended to appeal to those to whom equality in other situations is a just cause. Its not in this case, which is a much bigger subject than can be summed up by such whimsy as "Love is Love." Take a look at the January edition of National Geographic. Here we have an influential and respected publication devoted to the idea of a genderless world, as if they have the knowledge and right to proclaim a shift in the human condition.

The Homosexual agenda will not be placated by a bogus interpretation of marriage which legally allows them to pretended to be a family.

I understand that a great many people simply view this question as a matter of undoing prejudice, but no justice can be done by pretending human nature is not what it has always been.

The key question might be though, what has human nature actually always been.
Not just for the majority but for a substantial minority as well.
Just as criminalisation of homosexuality was patently wrong, so might denial of marriage equality.
But similarly forcing people to act against their conscience eg priests would be absolutely wrong.

I can think of one or two hetrosexual marriages that should never have taken place.....but I am not convinced there should be a LAW against it...

however at this moment I am registering a protest vote against this crap and will vote NO..3 years ago I would have voted yes lets get it done and dusted....now the gay brigade are claiming we are a homophobic nation.... and would not be able to vote without creating HATE towards gays.... well bugger them....this is more political than it is about marriage...

so stuff them

Priests are probably not a good example given many of them are gay.
I'm astounded people think their own personal opinion outweighs others right to misery.
I'm also astounded at the cries of " lefty agenda" given we are about the last western country in the world to address this issue and many conservatives are pushing the yes vote. Also MANY conservatives are gay themselves.
The gay gene is not a lefty monopoly.
