If left to their own devices, who knows what our government would be capable of.

We don't want another Auschwitz, and governments need to be reminded of this.

I'm not sure what argument you're trying to put forward there.

Do we house prisoners, the homeless, the sick, the dying, the mentally ill, the armed forces, etc.?

Indeed, but you are being your usual devious self. No one needs to queue up on a beach to become a country shopper.

As you well know, when Gillard and Swann were talking about the queue they were meaning, as does everyone else apart from your silly duplicitous self, that country shoppers displace someone who is waiting for resettlement and that they would not be rewarded by being placed on the queue of those waiting to be settled.

I did it in the hope that you might inform those waiting patiently in the queue that they could ignore convention and please themselves.

There is not an infinite number of refugee places in Australia.

If a Pakistani taxi driver arrives by boat claiming asylum and hoping to work in Australia to afford a dowry for his true love in karachi, there will be one less place for a Yazzidi woman who's been kept as an ISIS sex slave.

Boat arrivals are the least needy. Fkthem.
