No government has a mandate to govern - they have a mandate ONLY to pass legislation that properly accords with the Rule of Law in all its aspects and to ensure that legislation will pass the proper test of Law (which should cost no more than $25 to lodge a challenge), and to manage the nation/state/whatever on behalf of the people who elected it and for the best benefit OF those people first and foremost.... and NOT of themselves and any of their chosen special interest groups or lobbyists or donors.

There never has been, and never will be, under our form of democracy, any Divine Right of Elected Government.... i.e., there is NO absolute mandate or right to govern, only a right to properly serve....

Thank you for raising one of my long-ago asserted positions as regards government and the need for positive development of the controls of power, for the ultimate best benefit of the People first and foremost.
