I guess I must have imagined reading about those raids by the coppers on those blokes who they said were going to blow up a plane using a bomb hidden in a meat grinder.

As far as I know it's cultural,.. and not religious

not if you talk to shy or js....they think its against their religious beliefs..

its the men who are afraid their wives will be enticed away if their faces are exposed.....dont tell me any one would spend a great deal of their lives looking through a mesh at only anything in front of them...

its the most horrific item I have ever seen.....

and always BLACK...

You need to look at in context of where it's from.

When a woman is raped in Arabia, they blame the victim.
Now we used to shame the victim but thank ferk we've progressed, but Arabians are stuck in the dark ages, and to cast of the shame of a woman being raped, they kill her.

In that context, you'd want to make your woman wear a horse blanket.

BTW, it's my firm opinion the reason these toxicly patriarchal societies remain so backwards is because they exclude 50% of their population (women) from participating in society.

Women are smart and when you give them the status of cattle, your country can't advance.
