Robert Hughes, one of the the greatest world intellectuals who was expelled from Australia and lived for 50 years in US wrote in his book Australia beyond the fatal shore about his country of origin:

"Australia is teritorially huge, culturally tiny and politically insignificant"

So better stop with empty talks and start improving yourself with help of others.

I have talked about the terrorist attack in Barcelona, Cods. I condemned it utterly. I didn't use it as a segue-way to hang poo on racists though.

This thread is about the upswing in racism and how best to approach it. It's not like there are a shortqage of threads on Muslims, Cods. Most of them here, in fact.

I would like to address the rise in racism. It concerns me greatly. I'm equally concerned about most of the comment on this thread and the thinking that went into their composition.

I have talked about the terrorist attack in Barcelona, Cods. I condemned it utterly. I didn't use it as a segue-way to hang poo on racists though.

This thread is about the upswing in racism and how best to approach it. It's not like there are a shortqage of threads on Muslims, Cods. Most of them here, in fact.

I call someone thinking its ok to want to remove historical statues...only of white persons of course...racists...

they wouldnt dare remove a statue of Bennelong...and I wouldnt ask them too.....

yet some folks think its a.ok to smear anything to do with whitey...

I havent noticed any UPSWING as you call it...

I really believe Australia to be one of the good guys

mean things happen overseas American against American its sad.. but its not new..
