Lefties ignore Muslim sexism and misogyny

It's really strange, I fully expected the so-called feminists who protested against alleged misogyny by conservatives like Abbott and aTrump to be all over these absolutely disgusting remarks by a aMuslim cleric but somehow they must have missed it. That, or they don't care and sexism and misogyny is fine when committed by a Muslim.

Mat, it is easy to understand why the Laborites stay mum on the ISLAMICS simply because there are a lot of ISLAMICS in some of their key electorates.

It is all a matter of VOTES.

It would be like the Greenies voting NO to upset their inner city GAY dominated electorates.

the giveaway should have been seen when you said "like Abbott and Trump".

There is a slight difference between a nation's political leaders like Abbott and Trump, and some cleric in Saudi Arabia. Surely you can understand why a lefty in Australia or the US would be more concerned by the former, yes? If you can find a comparison of like for like instead of apples and oranges, then you might have a point. Is there, for example, a misogynist muslim in parliament, or who is part of the government that the "so called feminists" are silent towards?

I partially agree juliar, but ALSO take a slightly more sinister view. The lefties love and excuse Islam because it is anti-Western, and have also latched onto them as a victim-group. You constantly see loony leftists like LW deflecting anything that they do and trying to merely pass it off as 'Islamophobia'.

First of all the changes starts here at home. In Australia, we are already suffering from domestic violence against women, discrimination in the work place, gender gaps in pay etc etc. And these need to be work on first.

Secondly, women's activist had been on the forefront of speaking out against gender discrimination in the international scene. But this is all they can do, since most right wingers tend to want to do trades with some of the most oppressive regimes.

To that kind of crazed iconoclast, any person who assists in the destruction of society as we know it is a friend, thus the Islamites with their peculiar brand of insanity are currently welcome in the feminist fold....

Talk about supping with the devil.... one day these 'feminists' with their minds racing in idle will finally find that battlefield confrontation between male dominated and female dominated ideology - with the male dominated Muslims on one side and them on the other.

There fervent hope must be that in the intervening time, somehow the 'laws' will become so draconian against men that these Musos will simply be rounded up and disposed of at that time, and the Fem mode will emerge victorious.

Well, there is something odd about your arguments here. When the left wings talk about immigrants, they talk about it is not right to label everyone a terrorist like the right wings do, and that most immigrants are law abiding citizens that contributes to the Australian Society. They are against discrimination on basis of race, religion and sex.

This DOES NOT mean that they support discrimination against women in any way or form.

And here are right wing nutters, trying to pervert this message and goal to your own twisted ideology. To say that all of sudden, if you are against discrimination on the basis of religion here in Australia, then you are automatically supporting discrimination of women abroad. Now this is a VERY long bow to draw.
