I think it's hilarious that the only time you comment actually on-topic in this thread is to try and show me up by hysterically claiming something that is clearly just missed emphasis is "fake news".

It is hilarious that you won't admit having been suckered by fake news.

MPs vote the "animals cannot feel pain or emotion" into the Brexit Bill

MPs didn't vote "animals cannot feel pain or emotion." Mothra is no better than the average Trump voter.

What an idiotic proposal. What does the debate over animal sentience have to do with the EU withdrawal?

We had this discussion about prawns recently, and Mothra was not even willing to say whether she thought they felt pain. And that's a long way from emotion. She seemed to be under the delusion that pain helps prawns evade predation, though she could not explain how the prawn evades predation after it gets to the stage when they are feeling pain as they are being eaten. If I recall correctly, only one person (Aussie?) was willing to say they felt pain, though he could not explain his reasoning.

Do prawns feel emotion Mothra, and why should the British vote something so silly into law?

Corrrect, MPs have voted to reject the inclusion of animal sentience into law after they leave the EU.

AiA is having trouble understanding it but i had thought you were at least a little bit smarter than him.

Now, why would you think prawns wouldn't feel emotions?

Because it would incur a cost with no benefit. Why do you keep asking such silly questions?

Why would you want to pass a law that has no meaning? Would it make any difference to the question of whether prawns feel pain if the law said they did?

Did you read the OP, FD?

Please read the OP.

In short, laws that protect animals and recognise their sentience are currently represented by the EU.

Parliament has been charged with drafting laws to protect animal sentience n the Brexit bill.

They have chosen not to.

Did I tell you about my submission that they must be treated with respect and Die with Dignity out there on the trawler boats that haul them in?

I also refuse to eat so-called 'Tiger Prawns' any more. I've come to realise they're actually wearing striped pyjamas ....
