missing submarine
Nov 23rd, 2017 at 5:21am

The US Navy reports detecting a metal heat source at depth of 230 m which is believed to be the missing Argentine sub. A sonic contact has also been made.
It will be now be a race to effect a rescue as oxygen is close to being exhausted.

Battery fire 8 days ago. Me think it's a recovery, rather than a rescue.

Look out Bogey! Cods will be asking you what you've done about it and whether or not it's our submarine.

Just kidding. She's nowhere near consistent.

It just illustrates how pathetic the submarine design is for dealing with situations of emergency like this.

Days would have been saved if there was a simple device that is released from the hull of the submarine that then shoots up to the surface from where it transmits a signal.

What a terrible thing to be trapped under the ocean in a tin can. Those poor brave men.

There should be suicide pills issued to every submariner.

Precisely why I never wanted to join the navy - I could not see myself deep underwater and hopeless or floating in the sea hopeless.

On the other hand... I would be happy to be associated with any aircraft.... on a carrier.... the most vulnerable and most attack-worthy modern ship of war.
