..
I detest polls, simply because they are mostly meaningless.
The only poll that matters, IMHO, is the one taken on Election Day....you know....the one that the voters actually vote in.
That said, I just couldn't overlook this CBS Poll, ONE......because it expresses just how the State Voters feel about one of their own, & TWO......CBS has always been known as being far left of center in their political bias.
Alabama's Likely Republican Voters say:
Allegations against Roy Moore are False.
Roy Moore leads Alabama Senate race among likely voters
Source: Quote:A new CBS News poll finds 71 percent of Alabama Republicans say the allegations against Roy Moore are false, and those who believe this also overwhelmingly believe Democrats and the media are behind those allegations.
Source: Quote:The poll found 92 percent of Republicans who don't believe the allegations against Moore say the Democrats are behind the charges, and 88 percent say newspapers and the media are behind them.
Source: Quote:The poll also found 49 percent of Moore voters say their Senate vote is in support of President Trump, and 23 percent of Moore voters say the president's comments about the race, specifically, have made them more likely to back Moore.
Among all registered voters, the president has a 57 percent approval rating in the state. Among Moore's voters, it is an astounding 96 percent approval.
Doug Jones does not appear to be drawing many crossover Republicans, which he would almost surely need in order to gain ground. Only 9 percent of Republicans say they're voting for him.
Source: Quote:Alabama remains a deeply conservative state: most registered voters believe that abortion should be illegal (58 percent) and that same-sex marriage should not be legal (56 percent). Moore draws nearly nine in 10 voters who believe abortion should be illegal. Only 19 percent of registered voters call themselves liberal.
It seems that the Alabama Voters aren't falling for any of the Traditional Last Minute, Election-Eve, Sexual Allegations & Scandals they have seen so many times over the years.
They know the man they want.....They won't be fooled......They want Judge Roy Moore.
Even US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is stepping back on his Roy Moore criticism: 'I’m going to let the people of Alabama make the call'
Maybe McConnell has seen all the polls he needs to, to know when to make the logical political move....be seen backing the People's Choice.
So, if elected, he will take his seat in the United States Senate. There will be no arguments from Republican Senators on his taking his seat in the United States Senate.
