I've always hated flying, every time I get on a domestic I try to keep my mind of the fact that I'm flying.

Once you're in that tube if anything where to happen even if they did have all the equipment you just wouldn't stand a chance.

Yes Ajax totally agree and to make things worse Qantas are now in the process of removing inflight movies- a big distraction for nervous flyers- but an E- jector seat/parachute would make me feel a lot better- I wonder if they ever gave it any thought at all- and an automatic inflatable rubber dhingy option built in-

yep flying has never been ok with me- and I really do have to switch my brain off when stepping into an aircraft and ignore the fear- considering an overseas trip this year and am having 2nd thoughts because I was going with my son- now maybe not- gravity and all that bunk- what goes up must/can come down! I think fear is healthy

I've never feared flying, I used to fly in my dreams as a kid and wanted to be a pilot "when I grew up". If I get on a plane I want a window seat just in front of the wing so I can see it and the ground. When I fly I've had window seats luckily and spend most of the flight looking out, nose glued to the window.
