Two interesting and contradictory posts by the Pseudo-Herbie!  Tsk, tsk.  Where is the real Herbert?  How much of a ransom are you demanding for his safe return?   I am sure we could crowdfund it!   Angry

Lord Herbert wrote on Feb 18th, 2018 at 8:47am:
Congrats to the Muslim women for not wearing hijabs ~ and also big congrats to their fathers, mothers, brothers, uncles, and male cousins for not making an issue of it.

These sort of Muslims WANT to assimilate seamlessly into the Western culture of Australia. Good on them.

I just HOPE that Waleed Aly and his hijabbed wife don't appear on the program at any time at all.

And:

I think this could backfire spectacularly.

Sometimes it's better to Let sleeping dogs lie rather than poke them with a stick to see what they're made of. Prodding Islam to see what it's made of is not advisable if your host society frowns upon a whole raft of cultural attitudes from the Dark Ages.

The backwash from an Australian public that is 49% against any further Muslim immigration will be of tsunamic intensity.

I'm booking my seat and buying my popcorn EARLY for this spectacle that I predict will be a Comedy of (moral, ethical, and factual) Errors.

What a sick bunch of cowards, totally unwilling to honestly look at the myriad of verses in the qur'an which motivate islamic atrocities around the globe on a daily basis.

How degenerate are muslims and their apologists who prefer the status quo of unremitting bloodshed, over candidly reviewing these verses which are to blame for the horrific state of islam today 2018?

Oh well a bit longer yet before all the people wake up to the depraved knavery of muslims and their apologists.

When Christians, like you, Moses, repudiate and abandon The Old Testament from your Bibles, you can talk.  Until you end your hypocrisy, why don't you crawl away, back under your rock where you live?  Tsk, tsk.    Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I will be the first to admit that I don't agree with religion of many of the values, ethics and points that they exemplify. However the first point you make it one that is up to interpretation. Every religion is interpretive and relies upon perspective and knowledge. The issue here is those who wrongfully interpret and use the religion as a medium in which justifies their action.

To your second point you cannot put out a blanket statement such as that. The bloodshed is emitting from a small sect of extremists who have twisted the original doctrine into something evil. These extremists can align with the KKK who have twisted and warped Christian doctrine.

Oh come on for goodness sake, the tired old interpretation excuse is becoming a bit of a bore, even for apologists.

muslims who slaughter and kill the unbelievers or apostate hypocritical muslims in the name of islam are obeying the verses of evil in the qur'an to the very letter.

Conversely

People who commit evil in the name of Christianity are disobeying the Word of Christ.

I stick by my words that anyone who refuses to look at the evil in the qur'an is happy with the bloodshed it causes.

There is only one way to stop islamic atrocities: an honest examination of the depraved versed in the qur'an which cause and  motivate islamic degeneracy.

Why are muslims and their apologists so afraid of this simple exercise?

Because they both know that questioning the qur'an will destroy islam.

Apologists hate Christianity so they slither around desperately trying to condone islamic teachings and the depravity these religious precepts  cause.

Karnal,

You,        can have a friend who is a moslem.

But a moslem cannot be YOUR friend    K.

Why so ?

Because it is absolutely VERBOTTEN!

Because it is against Allah's law,      for a moslem,      to take any disbeliever as his/her friend.

As per, what Allah has commanded.....

"....Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith."
Koran 2.98

"....those who reject Allah have no protector."
Koran 47.008
v. 8-11

"O ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as friends (or protectors),- offering them (your) love,..."
Koran 60.1

"Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves....."
Koran 48.29

"Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred...."
Koran 58.22

"O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers."
Koran 9.23

"....take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends....
......he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them."
Koran 5.51

Karnal,

ISLAMIC law,         makes it lawful, for a moslem to cut your throat [a 'disbeliever'] !!
....and,         ISLAMIC law makes it lawful,       even for a moslem who is living, here in Australia, to cut your throat [a 'disbeliever'].

But ISLAMIC law,         forbids a moslem from befriending, any person who is a 'disbeliever'.

ISLAM's foundational religious texts, have plainly been interpreted by moslem scholars to indicate,
that those who have embraced ISLAM,
have embraced enmity, and hatred, and hostility and warfare and murder, towards those who reject ISLAM.

Quote:

Here, for example, are two very illuminating passages from the canonical Life of Mohammed by Ibn Ishaq, as translated by A. Guillaume, and a third passage, from the earliest known Muslim historian.

Ishaq: 204 - "'Men, do you know what you are pledging yourselves to in swearing allegiance to this man [Muhammad]?' 'Yes. In swearing allegiance to him we are pledging to wage war against all mankind.'"

Ishaq:231 - "Muslims are one ummah (community) to the exclusion of all men. Believers are friends of one another to the exclusion of all outsiders."

And here is Al-Tabari, a very early Muslim historian, in book 9, chapter or section 69, reporting words that Muslims believe to have been said by Mohammed himself - "Killing infidels is a small matter to us".

These texts are not fossils from a distant past.

They are not dead letters.

They are still 'live' and carry tremendous weight in the imagination and practice of many Muslims around the world.

Karnal wrote on Feb 19th, 2018 at 9:01pm:

No he didn't.

But this is something which Jesus did say.

--------- >

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Karnal,
Q.
What is the    will    of God [Jesus Father in heaven] ?

Can we know it ?

.

Karnal wrote on Feb 19th, 2018 at 9:01pm:

Love thy neighbour, no?

'Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.'

ARGUMENT;

K,

Jesus said that those who readily embrace deceit and lying, are the children of SATAN. [John 8:44]

SATAN, is the enemy of God [YAHWEH].

And therefore the children of SATAN, are the enemies of God.

Q.
Why so ?

Why is SATAN, the enemy of God [YAHWEH] ?

Because SATAN condones and encourages, the breaking of God's laws, in order to get what we want.

SATAN condones and encourages, deceit and lying, and murder, in order to get what we want.

And so does ISLAM.

And so do moslems.

Funny that!

Moslems, THE FOLLOWERS OF ISLAM,        condone and encourage deceit and lying, and murder, in order to get what we want.

K,

I would argue, that the differences between 1/ SATAN's precepts, and 2/ ISLAM's precepts
are essentially imperceptible !

Funny that!

K,

Your argument is, that non-moslems should embrace the children of SATAN [aka 'moslems'], to prove that non-moslems are more virtuous than moslems ?

Your argument is, Jesus wants non-moslems to embrace the children of SATAN [aka 'moslems'], in order to prove that non-moslems are more virtuous than moslems ?

Jesus said; "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

I say; I can do that.

Matthew 19:16
And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17  And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18  He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19  Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Straight out of God's law, from the Old Testament.

Leviticus 19:18
....thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

So, i would argue,      Jesus was trying to encourage us [mankind] to follow God's laws.

K,

This is also from God's law.

------- >

Deuteronomy 25:1
If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.

K,
QUESTION;
Are persons who lie to us,      are persons who hold a malevolent intent in their hearts towards us,
are they good persons, are they virtuous persons ?

Or did Jesus suggest that such people are merely 1/ the children of SATAN, and 2/ wanna-be murderers ?

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Think about this;

If we tolerate evil, and wickedness, in our midst,
...we, ourselves, will become those, who are evil and wicked.

Because tolerance of evil, is not 'tolerance'.

It is wickedness!

And today people just don't get that truth.

In fact most people will strenuously deny that logic.

No matter how many times we repeat the phrase,

"Tolerance is desirable, and good, and peaceable."
,

...our tolerance of evil, is not a virtue.

Whenever we choose to be tolerant of evil [in our midst], it is certain, as night follows day, that we ourselves, will become evil.

n.b.
Our 'tolerance' of evil, merely reveals the wickedness which is ALREADY within us!

And if you are a person who is "tolerant" of evil behaviour, DON'T KID YOURSELF,
...God hates you.
