I tuned in for about 5 minutes.

Seemed like it was loaded with cultural muslims, an ugly bi chick and one bag wearer.

Why no male fundamentalists?

The 'bag wearer' was somewhat 'unguarded' and insistent in some of her statements, on how the 'pure' followers of ISLAM should practice their faith.

Gordon,

How would we know, that at least one 'fundamentalist' was not present ?

Perhaps all of the males were merely trying to be more guarded in what they stated, in front of a camera ?     [particularly, i'm thinking of the guy there, who said that he was a teacher at an ISLAMIC school]

".....except by way of precaution, that ye may guard yourselves from them"

------- >

Quote:

July 28, 2006
Islamic Dictionary for Infidels

...Robert Spencer, ..."Religious deception of unbelievers is indeed taught by the Qur'an itself:

"Let not the believers take for friends or helpers unbelievers rather than believers. If any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah; except by way of precaution, that ye may guard yourselves from them"
(Qur'an 3:28).

In other words, don't make friends with unbelievers except to "guard yourselves from them": pretend to be their friends so that you can strengthen yourself against them. The distinguished Qur'anic commentator Ibn Kathir explains that this verse teaches that if "believers who in some areas or times fear for their safety from the disbelievers," they may "show friendship to the disbelievers outwardly, but never inwardly."

Or that there aren't reds under every bed, and that the actual level of fundamentalism is very small.

I liked the bit where the girl said Muslim girls had been forced to wear the burka and niquab.

Cool

Nuffin to see here luvvies, ignoring inconvenient truths when you have apologism to push and a hard on for Islam to maintain is par for the course.   Grin Grin

Muslims like us! I have always trusted SBS, in fact I trust all the mainstream media, why wouldn't they have our best interests at heart.
Open the floodgates even wider, what could go wrong.
In SBS we trust.
I am sure the following week they will give the other side of the story to be fair and balanced.

Under any other circumstances the woman in the niqab would be rushed to the nearest Psychiatric Hospital for emergency analysis and long-term treatment in a locked ward.

That's not the point. These people believe they are Gods chosen ones, and that justifies their support of their martyrs.

Yeah, exactly. But Christians at this point of history aren't killing cartoonists, cutting heads off etc.

See the difference?

So the fundamentalists who are peaceful are just as big a worry to you as the violent ones? That's just bizarre.
