Tonight on SBS3 ... a series on Australian Muslims
Feb 21st, 2018 at 12:44pm

"Premiere

Muslims make up less than three per cent of the Australian population, yet dominate the news headlines and are often misunderstood. In this new two-part series, ten Muslim Australians with vastly different views on their faith live under one roof for eight days to explore what it means to be a Muslim in modern, multicultural Australia. While the housemates are united in faith, they are divided on what it means to be a ‘good Muslim’.

Darned if I know, but this should be interesting, educational, and informative for the reason that they will all be trying to outshine each other as a Good Muslim and a Good Australian/Westerner DESPITE their agreed differences of what it means to be a Muslim.

Be on the lookout for those who try to sell the notion that Islam is 'just like any other religion' - the same as Christianity or Buddhism - (a favourite of Gandalf's).

And don't be surprised if a little permissible deception creeps into the conversations being heard by the viewers ... ie ..

"In Islam, Taqiya or taqiyya (Arabic: تقیة‎ taqiyyah, literally "prudence, fear")[1][2] is a precautionary dissimulation or denial of religious belief and practice in the face of persecution.[3][4][1][5] Another term for this concept, kitmān (lit. "action of covering, dissimulation"), has a more specific meaning of dissimulation by silence or omission.[6][7]"

All permissible under sanction of the Islamic religion.

Same with the Muslim practice of divorcing your wife and then remarrying your wife after having a session with a prostitute.

Unfortunately, this type of informed education only ever seems to reach the already informed and educated

The rest of you would have been tuned in to see the latest cat-fight between two pairs of "bitches" - on "My Kitchen Rules"

That's a very astute observation, and is why the Great Unwashed are the most naive and ignorant when it comes to having some idea about things outside of SPORT.

That's a contradiction. But the premise of the show, SBS demonstrating how objective Muzlims can be, is a typical snow-job from that anti- English/European editorial clique.
