If anything is doomed its all that fire and hot lava which will loose its energy and turn to stone. And for that matter, physicists may claim the universe is expanding to infinity, but they are just as likely to turn around in a few years and decide the energy will be lost and matter will collapse. So when it comes to doom, it all depends how pessimistic you are.

Correct.

Consider the question of Dark Matter. The cosmologists think it's there, but can't see it. And then they've just discovered the biggest Black Hole ever found. Sucks like a skanky ho with a bad case of crystal meths addiction.

If every motion eventually produces a backwash when it hits the 'other side', perhaps at this moment a huge cosmic tsunami wave of energy and matter is rushing towards us from where The Big Bang has expanded to some kind of Wall of Resistance.

We ain't seen nothin' yet.

He always reminded me of the Pied Piper of Hamlin. All these well-groomed and starry-eyed youngsters would gather in their thousands to mindlessly and uncritically absorb whatever it was he was saying. Empty repositories happy to be filled with fantastic notions and assertions.
