For the most of mankind's history however, people were compelled to be their own police, their own law.  And for the most part, they did it very well and were far more effective that what passes for policing and law today

In the UK, it's reported that police catch less than one in ten offenders.  So not working too well, is it

Who would blame police?  If they do manage to catch the offender, they're hamstrung by 'law' at every turn

Sentences are extremely lenient in comparison to the crimes. Reoffenders are common

People say and many believe that the law sides with the criminals.  Police must feel likewise and seeing their hard work undone every day by judges who seem to be the devil in many instance serve only to demoralise and demotivate police and put fear into the hearts of the public

Vigilantism needs to make a big comeback in my opinion.  Shake this stupid system to the core

Those opposed to vigilantism cry that innocents may suffer and die and out they come with 'better to let ten men go free than punish an innocent '.  Doubt that's going to keep the lid on much longer

Sure, innocents may die as result of vigilantism.  But innocents are dying anyway.  We're all going to die anyway.  So in my view, whilst accepting that some innocents may be unjustly harmed by vigilantism, the risk is worth it if it means nine beasts are dealt with conclusively

Wars will not be fought on the ground in the future.  Millions of innocents will die.  Not only that, if nukes start flying around, society will collapse overnight.  There will be no power, no lights, no energy and no police.  Entire armies would not be able to control the lawlessness for even 24 hours.  It will be dog eats dog in every street and town.  In an instant, it will be back to the jungle time.  Doors kicked down, families slaughtered.  Roaming gangs of human animals having a ball.  Without end

There will be no room for niceties, no escape.  Every man, woman and child for themselves.  And they'd better have a weapon and a lot of luck to last a week

Right now, there's a war going on but it's low key.  People still believe the police are at the end of their phone.  We're living in a fool's paradise that could shatter in an instant

Telling an offender that you're a nice and good person won't cut much ice.  They don't care.  Nice people are easiest to subdue, rob, rape, kill.  And religion has watched billions die in agony, time and time again

Funny how vigilantism solves so many problems for the 'elite'.  Guy supposedly shot  JFK.  Then just as fast, a vigilante killed teh alleged killer.  But don't try that at home folks ....

hang em and hang em high.

Don't have a link, sorry Aussie

Read it about twenty years ago.  It used to be online.  Maybe it still is in some dark corner, but I haven't been able to find it recently

It was a scholarly article resultant from a two decade study conducted in the UK.  The researchers announced that rehabilitation -- which had been a very costly exercise -- was no effective.  The researchers said their studies had exposed that rehabilitation was basically a waste of time and money despite all the hoohah

The researchers said their studies had shown conclusively that the only deterent lay in offenders fear of the punishment they'd receive if their crimes were discovered.  In other words, personal pain (prison, deprivation of liberty, etc.) was the only thing preventing offenders from offending again

The researchers said they were very disappointed to have to make the announcement

But that is not what you first said which was......

Better to call off the war between men and women and just negotiate a proper peace treaty....

A Queensland man who set his teenage girlfriend on fire and left her with permanent scarring has been sentenced to 11 years in jail.

in latest news, Nine News

he'll be out long before 11 years

Now where are all the fathers, brother, uncles who'll be there when he emerges and waves ta ta to his prison boyfriends?  Where are they who'll give him a taste of his own medicine as a learning-experience and lesson to any other tough-guys who're thinking of doing as he did ?

Anyone who touches anyone of mine will rue it to their dying day.  And when they die, I'll be there waiting for them and will chase them through hell

So called Law needs to harden up.  A'holes do not learn through BS 'rehabilitation'.  They only learn through personal pain.  That's the conclusion of researchers who investigated 'rehabilitation' for 20 years.  Mothers without a day of education know that.  Bite your brother and he'll bite you back.  If he refuses, I will bite you back.  Guarantee you won't bite anyone again you little brat and if you do, I'll continue biting you hard until you learn to keep your fangs to yourself.  That's how mothers deal with it.  The Law pretends it knows better

Ok. Fine.  Then judges and their families should be forced to house all those offenders they're so keen to let out on parole.  The law would change damn fast then

Obviously not my daughter..... that sub-human would walk free as long as it took for me to line him up.

You have to bear in mind that the general populace have been so pussy-whipped to keep them under control that any vigilante work is considered a crime.... and will be punished relentlessly.

So many people will not consider de-balling someone who violates their very own.

You surprise me, Aussie.  For some reason I believed you'd know the difference between rehabilitation, i.e., ' Now Jakob, you've been biting your little sister a lot.  Do you want to talk about that?  What made you start biting your sister, do you remember?  No?  You don't want to talk about it?  Ok. That's ok Jakob.  Do you want to do some colouring-in?  No, Jakob … don't eat the crayons please.  Ouch !  Jakob, you bit me !  That's not nice, Jakob.  Ok, ok.  It's ok.  Don't cry.  It's nothing, just a bite. I know you didn't mean it.  It's ok, Jakob.  Calm down.  Let's take you for a little nap, shall we Jakob?  Yes, you'd like that?  And you want chocolate milk?  And Twisties?  Ok Jakob, let's see what we can rustle up for you.  Then after your nap, maybe we could have another little chat about biting your sister?  No?  No?  You don't want to talk about it?  You want to play with your computer?  Ok, Jakob, ok.  That's fine.  Maybe we could have a little talk about the biting next week, eh?  No?  You don't want to?  Ok Jakob.  Don't get upset.  Everything's fine.  It's fine.  Ouch!  Damn!  You bit me again Jakob !  That HURT !  Ok, ok, Jakob.  Don't cry.  It was my fault, I agree.  I'll stop talking about the biting.  Here, here .. have some more Twisties … '

and:

Grabbing Jakob's arm.

Jakob lets out a scream

Ok Jakob.  You felt that eh?  Hurt, didn't it?  That's right.  I bit you.  How do you like it?  That's what you did to your sister.  How's it feel?  Sore?  Hurts?  Yep, it hurts, doesn't it?  Just the way you hurt your sister.  Bite your sister again you little shite and I'll rip your bloody arm off, you get it?  I'll bite effing chunks of you.  My teeth are bigger than yours.  So leave your sister alone.  Do not bite anyone, or I'll rip your damn teeth out and put you in a cage with savage dogs who'll bite you to bits '

Jakob nods.  He gets it.  He's already quit biting others

A Sydney father will remain behind bars after he allegedly stabbed his five-year-old son to death in an incident described by police as "horrendous".
The 36-year-old did not apply for bail and it was formally refused during an appearance at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday following the alleged murder a day earlier.
The father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, asked "where am I" as he appeared via video link.

His next mention at Parramatta Local Court is scheduled for July 30
