sad.
i get it.
capitalism is the victim of its own success.
people have become used to prosperity that people 200 years ago could not even aspire to.
we are hierachical creatures.
relative wealth is far more important then absolute wealth.
and we want maximum value for minimum effort.
i TOTALLY get why a 20 yo would think "why should i grind it out and go thru the pain to contribute to the society and continue the prosperity? Bill Gates has billions. he should give some to me."
i get why people think that way.
we are self centred egocentric creatures.
marxism appeals to the selfish, the lazy, the weak and the cowardly aspects of our psyche.
its a lot easier message to sell, then "get out there and lift a load".
the problem is that the successful people (the patriachy) are seen as oppressors by the marxists.
whereas it is your being embedded in the patriachy that keeps you safe.
the callow youth are in for a rude awakening. thats for sure.
i"ll be interested if the heads of facebook, apple and amazon are willing to share with the callow youth when the patriachy is finally "done".
my suspicion is that they are cheering a lot of young people off the cliff I appreciate the reply, but none of that is relevant in the slightest, not in this thread anyway.
You're trying to obfuscate through sheer volume.
You claimed that this was an example of Marxists trying to control the media.
You couldn't be more wrong, it's capitalism doing what it does. If you don't like that your issue is with capitalism, not blaming the left.
You are at a fork in the road, you can look more critically at the system you champion or blame someone else.
An Alpha move or an Omega move, the choice is yours.
You know this and since you hold "noble capitalism" so high, you're trying to blame it on something else already.
The point is, this is not a free speech issue, pretending otherwise is an exercise of ignorance or deliberate manipulation.
