What does 'compassion' have to do with this, Bobby?

Everything.

Criminals show no compassion for their victims.
It's not enough to rob someone -
they want to maim & kill them as well.

And what has that got to do with the level of compassion a hangman might experience?

How does 'compassion' fit nicely, or at all, into a debate about State sanctioned murder?  Seems to me that compassion has nothing to do with it, as it is a cold-blooded, premeditated, carefully planned killing by the State.

The same way murderers plan and kill their victims

The same way paedophiles groom and work on kids for years to get their destructive way.

The same way drug dealers plan and build addicts to feather their own nests.

The difference is
The criminal has many victims who have done nothing wrong

The state removes a creature who does wrong, and will continue to harm innocent people.

It's not hard to see the difference unless you deliberately don't want to.

In extreme cases it's needed.

PS.  notice no one complained when the Bali bombers were executed.

Plenty of people complained.

I didn't hear a single complaint.

Quote:
The 2002 Bali bombings occurred on 12 October 2002 in the tourist district of Kuta on the Indonesian island of Bali. The attack killed 202 people (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, and people of more than 20 other nationalities). A further 209 people were injured.

There were thousands of people protesting in the streets.

And millions more silently cheering.

I was one of them.

Good riddance, but they should also eliminate the whole gene pool of these murderers.
That way it would make them think twice, knowing that their whole family were forfeit.

are you referring to Bali Bombers   or the Bali 9....

if two sides feel like you do.... then we will always have WARs wont we?

Both
Both were murderers in their own way.

One lot with a bang

The other lot by slow lingering DEATH

Take you pick

ok... what about all those lingering in aussie jails....

so you are ok with hate wars continuing indefinitely ?

Some people have no right to live.
They forfeit their lives by any one of a number of crimes
Murderers did not care about the person they murdered
Pedophiles care nothing for the children who's lives they destroy
Drug dealers care only about what they can get, not about the lives they destroy.
Politicians, just for taking breath, they lie and destroy lives in pursuit of power and money.

I have no issue in eradicating these insects
No more than I do squishing a cockroach.

They prey on those who do the right thing or innocent people.

Time for the people to bite Back.

He's certainly an extremist.

If any other extremist says ...

"Some people have no right to live."

"I have no issue in eradicating these insects No more than I do squishing a cockroach."

"Time for the people to bite Back."

... the right wingers go off their tiny, empty heads.

Yet when one of their own promotes such violence, they have no issue with it.

Is there a bigger group of hypocrites in the world than right wingers?

So pulling out a rotten tooth is exactly like the premeditated killing of a person?

A rotten tooth is a mass of decaying filth -
so yes it's almost the same.

How about you pose that question to all the premeditated murderers we have locked up in out prison system?

Or the many that have got out after paltry sentencing or inept parole decisions?
