A Dearth of Diversity at OzPol
Sep 17th, 2018 at 8:02am

For a board to thrive it needs diverse personalities and warring factions. Ozpol is experiencing a dearth of diversity ... and it shows.

John Smith, Mothra, Neferti and Rhino were all given permanent bans from my understanding. Unforgiven and Jovial Monk seem to have been given suspensions as well. Gregg is in voluntary exile.

Suspensions are necessary for any forum, but a permanent ban only hurts the board.

Quite honestly, OzPol has become a bit boring without them.

Have to say I agree... regardless of their approach, JS and Mothra, and Neferti and Rhino often had points to make... and I don't think their 'offences' were worth a lifetime ban...  as an adult (ha-ha - ME adult?) I can deal with their occasional run off the rails..... and in all honesty I've not really seen them abusing etc as some do here...

Is this some kind of carry-over from Political Animal and entrenched antipathies or something?  What happened to equality being on merit and not on assumption, presumption, supposition, innuendo, or insinuation?

Countless arenas in this nation and the Rest of The Struggling West - a West struggling to re-find its own identity - are becoming Star Chambers and often an Antifa of The Written Word... with artificial labeling of individuals and name-calling the rule of law in the land(s) and violence offered as the only solution to disagreement ... with reasoned argument as dead on the side of the road as a car with no engine...

Get your hand off it AiA (Artificial Intelligent Anus)

You're basically saying that you think us OzPol members are bores and that this Forum can't survive without the likes of you PA'ers from both Forums throwing insults page after page like the first line of my post above  Wink

I find it great that a Topic might have only 5 pages to have what is said in relation to the subject by members, rather than an extra 7 pages of sledging drivel to dig through. Things have become 'efficient', smart and to the point.
Even us OzPol members trade blows quickly, effectively and don't need to rack up 10 pages to do so.

You PA'ers take a 'metre' and make a boring mile of it.
I mean, if you don't like it here - then you can go back and hang out with you mates at Black Orchid's PA forum and slag off Aussie, Monk & Co to your hearts content.

You lot miss Aussie, Mothra, Monk, JS, Gweggy & Co from 'that' PA Forum because you are CO-DEPENDENT on them for adversity. You're like Mundine who hasn't got Danny Green chasing him around the Ring anymore. You have a new Boxer who makes you come to him and you don't like that.

Sorry - but this Forum is going great. The conversations, the 'efficient' odd sledge and the subjects are going along fine. Points of view are actually stimulating and educating.

I think its great that OzPol is no long a 'No man's Land' in the middle of two warring PA Forums. You both are stuck in your trenches while 'we' are all playing a game of soccer together in the middle.

But just to make you feel more at home:
You're an anal pumping butt monkey
. There, does that help?  Huh

What in God's name are you blathering about Jasin? What does Political Animal have to do with anything I wrote? I think you are suffering from P.A.D.S. (Political Animal Derangement Syndrome).

You need help. Fast.

ARGUMENT;
From time to time i do post some controversial material on this public forum.

It is material which some other members on this forum object to     [....i.e. they clearly object to,    the posting of it!]

Coz, they seem to have the opinion, it would be better for everyone, if such controversial opinions and views [as mine] were not openly 'broadcast'.

And if they do 'engage' with me, invariably, they will deny the veracity of the material arguments which i make.....

.....but WITHOUT providing any material substantiation for why or how i [and my opinions] am in error.

And they will also [invariably] call me some derogatory names.     [....because their peers have taught them, that calling me some derogatory name, and expressing their disdain, at my presence in this forum, is the height of intellectual repartee.]

Because calling people derogatory names is an unassailable proof, of their debating skills, on a public forum.

Oh now you're just trying to be 'coercive' and rustle up that 'pack' mentality like you lot (Sewer rats) do against Aussie & Co. You have no idea what 'everyone' here thinks ...but you're just probably expressing what the 'Sewer' mob think. Of which I'm glad you all find me frustrating and annoying.

Even Redmond Neck (PA Sewer member) proves my point.

I'm sorry if you're having a nervous breakdown from PA Shady Pines members not giving you the 'attention' you are used to. Why don't you both OPEN UP your PA forums to allow each other into them - so you can 'battle' and slag away to your hearts content.

I very much doubt that OzPol members agree with your 'Sewer' bias. So please don't speak on 'our' behalf.

I do hope you find my posting here in this topic 'annoying'.
Because you can't imagine how 'annoying' it is for all of us to have 10 pages out of 20 on a Topic - all about 'YOU' lot just slagging each other off like Serena Williams dummy spits.

Yep Yadda. Ye Grappler is right. It's not 'what' you have to say that puts people off. It's how you're putting it out there.
Keep it tight and efficient and you will find more members will actually 'like' what you have to say.
But you're 'enlargement' doesn't attract attention, it does put people off and they just 'skip' your posts.
Just like we have to 'skip' constant pages of 'PA Forumers' going at each other in a world of their own. It's tiresome, time consuming and like the 'Grind' on a Xbox/Playstation Game.
We don't need the 'grind'.
Keep it tight, compact and efficient.

...of course, there is the flip side of some people just posting one liners of insult and that's all they can do. Like someone coming up from behind to do a king hit before running away again. But hey, we don't often pay attention to them too.  Our attention is too 'short' for that as well  Wink Cheesy

I have a brother.. I have a brother!!

NOBODY's grammar etc is better than mine.....

Far South Coast you say?  Moved up from there coupla years ago... which part?  As for aging - wait until you grow into your nose..... then we'll talk.... as for using quotes - I make the point that others have seen the same truths as well as my good self...... and often put their points very well.... showing that somehow there could still be hope for humanity - if the right people get the right jobs.

I could just as easily say the same things - but anyone who knows anything will know that all the ideas one can come up with have been thought before.... in that social area of knowledge not much, if any, is new.... so often it is meet (and far easier) to quote someone earlier than to explain it all to the classroom.....  Grin   Wink

Is there a page somewhere that lists the bans and the offences? Or, are these assumptions?
