More FAKE NEWS from the Polly Waffle VIRUS.

The Lefties HATE anything which preaches TRUTH and HONESTY.

They like the Socialist lies oozing out of the ABC Socialist Propaganda Station.

"Then there's Murdoch. Owning nearly 70 per cent of Australian print, in addition to Sky, it is now clear Murdoch used this power ruthlessly to run a campaign to depose Malcolm Turnbull in favour of Peter Dutton - only to end up with Morrison as the consolation prize."

"This statement is factually incorrect. According to the Finkelstein Review of Media and Media Regulation, in 2011 News Corp Australia (then News Limited) accounted for 23% of the newspaper titles in Australia. "

https://theconversation.com/factcheck-does-murdoch-own-70-of-newspapers-in-austr...

And Paul Kelly and Miranda Devine defended MT.

"People forget News Corp launched a vicious campaign against my wife’s company in April 2007 alleging Therese had underpaid her employees. When three months later an inquiry found Therese was in fact paying her employees above award, News buried it. "

"Mr Rudd met his wife at Sydney Airport after she caught an early flight home from a business trip because of the furore over revelations her job placement company had accidentally underpaid 58 workers."

Cherrypicking your facts AGAIN? Quoting out of context AGAIN? Do you EVER learn?

Here's what lee didn't want you to see with his selective quoting:

Quote:
In a rebuttal of Kevin Rudd’s claim, Sally Jackson from The Australian observed that News Corp Australia accounts for 33% of the newspaper titles that have sales audited by the Audit Bureau of Circulation.

But Rudd’s claim has more validity if we focus on newspaper circulation. Many of the newspapers listed are highly localised and have small circulations.

News Corp Australia titles account for 59% of the sales of all daily newspapers, with sales of 17.3 million papers a week, making it Australia’s most influential newspaper publisher by a considerable margin.

Among capital city and national daily newspapers, which are by far the most influential in setting the news agenda, News Corporation titles accounted for 65% of circulation in 2011. Fairfax Media, the next biggest publisher, controlled just 25%. Those figures may have shifted slightly since then, but there is no doubt that News Corp Australia is our most dominant player - as academic Matthew Ricketson pointed out in The Conversation’s media panel blog, it owns 14 of our 21 metro daily and Sunday newspapers.

Note that this lee "person" only quoted the paragraph that had the smallest figure, omitting the rest so as to mislead by omission. He does this a lot and this is why he's not a trustworthy poster.

We certainly need to look at bringing in US-style anti-trust laws, so corporations that abuse their market dominance can be forced to divest assets.

The big banks in particular would behave better if the threat of forced divestiture was an available legal remedy.

While I agree with most of what was said in that, I hope Rudd did not write it and send it in like that. Where was his proof reader?

Quote:
The fact the Liberal Party Federal Council recently for total privatisation of the ABC underlines Murdoch’s and the Liberal’s common approach.

Quote:
When three months later an inquiry found Therese was , News buried it.

Quote:
And then on election eve, Allen leaked to the Murdoch Sunday papers (for which I accept complete responsibility) while neglecting to mention the fact that it was Allen himself who took me there as his guest.

And yet when you give the complete quote not one figure reaches 70%. So you are just being ingenuous.

And then of course the Sunday Times in Western Australia, which once was in the Murdoch stable is now owned by Kerry Stokes. So that reduces Murdoch ownership.

And the post from The Conversation is from 2013. And he is still making the same claims.

The big banks worked best when there were "people owned" banks to keep the rest honest. Deregulation of banking was a bad idea.

The converting of the ABC Socialist Propaganda Station to Christianity by ScoMo is very alarming to the Lefties and Greeny types as the ABC is their illegally operating Socialist mouthpiece.

And without their illegally operated ABC Socialist Propaganda Station the Lefties well be lost and voiceless coming up to the election.

Will GetUp! start a pirate radio/TV station overflowing with bilious Socialist venom ?

So what? Did anyone say that Rudd's figure was supposed to be accurate to the decimal? You're splitting hairs.

No. I mean it wasn't accurate then and seeing as he has sold off the Sunday Times it is even less likely now. Grin Grin Grin Grin

But he is still using the old figures.

Having got his arse handed to him on a plate last time you would think he would try to be accurate this time. Perhaps even clarify what he meant. Circulation vs Mastheads.

But critical thinking isn't your forte.

My critical thinking skills are fine. I have no idea though why you chose to crap on about Rudd.

As for thinking skills, thinking of any kind isn't your forte.  Tongue

Perhaps you can explain why you think the graph showing Australia's emissions, which peaked in 2006, are in 2016 somehow higher, by your estimation?

Or why you think that the emissions excluding LULUCF are somehow not Australia's total emissions?

Why do the Libs always call for an RC into the media when they need a distraction?
