Every gangster starts out as a law abiding citizen.

But not every law abiding citizen ends up a gangster.

Correct, and not a single person on the planet is saying anything to the contrary.

Meanwhile:

The suspected shooters in separate mass shootings in Nashville, Tennessee, and Louisville, Kentucky, both bought guns used in the attacks legally.

The big picture: From 1966 to 2019, 77% of mass shooters purchased at least some of the weapons used in the shootings legally, per data compiled by the National Institute of Justice, a research agency of the Department of Justice.

Many mass shootings in the U.S. after 2019 have also underscored the same reality.

Illegal purchases were made by just 13% of mass shooters, per the data, which also notes that 32.5% of mass shooting cases could not be confirmed.

More than 80% of the assailants responsible for K-12 shootings stole their guns from family members, per the National Institute of Justice.

Still, just because some sick, demented, & misguided criminal minded person uses a firearm to kill innocent people, there remains absolutely no reason whatsoever for the more than 300+ million good, Law-Abiding American Citizens to even consider relinquishing any firearms, or any of their Constitutional Rights affirming their Right to Keep & Bear Arms.

Every mass shooter, every lone-wolf sniper, every person who carries out a school shooting massacre, starts out as a law-abiding citizen.

Every single one of them.  No exceptions.

Yes but every single republican politician starts out not being an accessory to school shootings as well.

Prevent them from shooting someone - much easier.

It's impossible to die from a gunshot wound if the person attacking you doesn't have a gun.

True, but most Americans will always oppose gun bans, & always have the individual Right to keep & bear arms affirmed & protected by the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.  Wink

So you don't believe that as you keep shouting it, to sound convincing.
In UK, the Bill of Rights said:
'That the Subjects which are Protestants may have Arms for their Defence suitable to their Conditions and as allowed by Law'.
That's a special permission, retricted by Law, not a right.

'In Federalist No. 46, Madison wrote how a federal army could be kept in check by the militia, "a standing army ... would be opposed [by] militia." He argued that State governments "would be able to repel the danger" of a federal army, "It may well be doubted, whether a militia thus circumstanced could ever be conquered by such a proportion of regular troops." He contrasted the federal government of the United States to the European kingdoms, which he described as "afraid to trust the people with arms", and assured that "the existence of subordinate governments ... forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition".

As the Second says, the arms are militia arms. There is no militia named 'Mr Panther'.

Gun Licensing is not an infringement, Background checks, cooling off period, requirement for gun storage, identifying people of severe risk, Dangerous weapon ban, ghost gun registration, mental health requirement, training, Gun safety Technology, red flag.

Sensible gun laws do not hinder the right to keep and bear arms and are supported by the vast majority including the majority of NRA members.

The majority of gun owners agree that a slight inconvinience is ok if it provided better gun safety for the community.

Rifles, of any kind, are used in less than 4% of all gun homicides, & the AR-15 is used in less than 2% of those rifle homicides.

The AR-15 rifle is owned by many millions of Law-Abiding Americans.....owned primarily for use as a weapon for  self-defense. Estimates are that there are between 25 to 30 million AR-15' held privately in the USA, & they are considered in "common use" by the American People for lawful purposes.

Does it now?
Just where does it say that and how does it say it?

Perhaps you’ll do us the favour of explaining the meaning of the words of the Second Amendment ?

Be the first.
