As I have stated many times, it is the person with the weapon that makes the difference. I have a Uberti reproduction of the 1860 .44 caliber Colt Army and with conical bullets is the equal of any non-magnum modern handgun until it needs to be reloaded. A laser weapon wouldn't add any advantage. Archaic doesn't necessarily make something ineffective.

(eBay doesn't allow weapon sales, not even unregulated antiques!)
