Racism is prejudice based on race, which a social construct.

"Social construct" doesn't mean "not real".

What makes a social construct real if it's just a construct and what is the term that is the opposite of social construct?

Well, not really "real". The rules of football aren't real; they are just a social construct, an abstract idea. The idea of God exists, but God isn't real; God is just a social construct.

People play football according to the rules of football; people discriminate against others based on pseudoscientific classifications; people burn sacrifices for their imaginary friends.

Your explanation is illogical, there are no assumptions in the rules of football. They are real because you know precisely and unambiguously when they are broken.

Clearly you aren't acquainted with Australian Rules football.

If race is not real why don't two black African parents  produce a white kids, a yellow kid, a brown and a black kid in equal proportions?

Seems they are more like to produce Black kids..........hmmmmmm. it's like they carry some distinct genetic information that is different from two white parents.

Social construct theory is the bottom feeder of academia.

No wonder you're so confused: you think that race just means that that skin colour is heritable.

That's just one example.

Do you think that a Great Dane dog and a fox terrier dog are only different as social constructs because they are both dogs.

You think that "race as a social construct" is somehow a denial that there are real differences between people?

Come on.

Why not answer the question I asked plz.

So anyway what do you call genetically distinguishable traits between large population as in the dog example and between say blacks and whites.

If you brought to me a Great Dane and a Fox Terrier, I wouldn't be able to tell them apart because I would just see two dogs, and if you claimed there was any difference between them I would just write it off as a social construct.

One difference between blacks and whites is skin colour (mindblowing!). The distribution of the genes for skin pigmentation is called the cline of that trait.

That skin colour is enough to tell vast populations of people apart, there are also further characteristics within the populations to get further identifiable sub groups eg pygmies versus Zulu.

To say those genetic differences and also  that you can't see any difference between a great Dane and a fix terrier borders on mental illness imo.

You have departed from reality.

I agree. For instance, Americans are a mix of light-, medium- and dark- skinned people, whereas Australians are mostly light-skinned with a mere smattering of medium- and dark-skinned people.

That's a reference to size, isn't it? Pygmies are short and Zulus are tall? By that reasoning, Muggsy Bogues is a Pygmy and Shaquille O'Neal is a Zulu. Or maybe Muggsy is a Fox Terrier and Shaq is a Great Dane.

Thanks--that made me smile.
