Four members of the band are still missing:

The band released a statement saying their bass player and road manager were found dead, while four other members of their group remained missing.

The group’s lead vocalist, Riefian “Ifan” Fajarsyah, has been the only survivor found so far. He posted a video to Instagram looking shell shocked and asking for prayers.

More than 100 people are now confirmed dead:

At least 113 people have been killed and another 600 injured, with widespread destruction across the Sunda Strait region.

Initial indications are that the tsunami was triggered by an undersea landslide, caused by the eruption of Krakatoa volcano late on Saturday night local time.

Surprisingly, authorities issued no warning. In fact, they said exactly the opposite:

Local authorities initially assured people there was no tsunami risk and told locals not to panic or spread “fake news” via social media ...

On Twitter, the boss of the agency, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, apologised and said the incorrect initial information was based on the first available data.

“The initial error occurred because of referring data and information from various sources that there was no tsunami,” a translation of the message read.

Good Lord.

these scientists  sure did get it wrong....didnt they?..

'Fake news?'

Gee...gonna be hard to explain that if the tale turns out to be true, and that ought not be too difficult to establish....one way or the other.

It wasn't a tsunami caused by an earth quake, they originally said it was because of the full moon and the tides.

The Indonesians must be cursed, probably because they are Muslims.

In 2004, when the earthquake shook Indonesia in 2004, Australia sent out a tsunami warning to Indonesia. Indonesia's answer was to ignore it. "bugger you, round eye" basically.

*THUMP* Indonesia loses 100,000 citizens.

2018. Tsunami warning again. Naaaahhh. *THUMP* Indonesia loses hundreds more?

It was a landslide from a volcano so there was probably no seismic data to support a tsunami, so being Muslims they thought it was the Moon.

Authorities in Indonesia, where a 9.1 magnitude quake sparked the tsunami, weren't able to send out an alert because the country's sensor system had been hit by lightning.

What a load of crap!
That video was a rip off!
The action didn't happen until the last second!
I sat and watched through all that crap until the last second and for Pete's sake, I still didn't get to see the Tsunami - because they were still in the bloody way!
Even Pete wouldn't give a crap about watching people die in some backwater over-populated country run by yellow monkeys who can't even afford to buy a packet of peanuts unless the Australian Government gives them the money in 'Aid Funds' to purchase the Australian made product.
Money for Nothing, but the Chimps are free. Roll Eyes
