Why describe me at all
afraid of being held to account for what you say?

And you are both totally wrong on all fronts
no, it is you who is wrong. Australia day is
supposed to be for ALL Australians
, not just while anglos. If the govt. decided to hold Australia day on 30 June, I doubt you'd feel any less about celebrating it.
and those wanting change have already said that will not change their demands
You'd still be proud to be Australian wouldn't you? That a percentage of Australians have a problem with this particular day is not something you need
to feel threatened about even consider
. It's not just whinging. It's the anniversary of when
they were invaded Europeans arrived
231 years ago and they had no concept then of land ownership or invasion and were not a natgion, and it was not an invasion, it was a small settlement. No need for them to feel threatened by the celebration of the establishment of a tiny settlement. As usual, you've got it backwards - on purpose.

including Wogs, John.... your lot have been here long enough to grow up and lose that chip on your shoulder...
that's because the racism has since moved on from wogs Grap. It's been a long time since anyone has ever used the term to my face. Since I was a kid it went to Vietnamese, Chinese, and it's now targeted at muslims. There were probably one or two in the middle that I've missed. Aborigines have been in the cross hairs the whole time.
Why the need to target anyone Grap.
I don't target anyone - I respond to insults and name-calling and bigotry and all my comments are fair and balanced - I only criticise the wrongdoers - in this case the whiners and demanders.
Everyone's concerns are valid Once you grasp that everyone means everyone and not just a whining group, you'v e got that right.
Jan 26 was the day
they were invaded. a small settlement was established.
You can argue you bought civilization to them, built roads and all
the other bullshit excuses you want to obfuscate that fact. But the fact remains that Jan 26 is the day they were invaded. Being Australian isn't about being a white pom. Not to me, not to about 50 percent of the population.
Then why do YOU draw the distinction - I never have?? And I'm not a Pom - Irish, Scottish and German.
What exactly is wrong with everyone, including aborigines, celebrating Australia day anyway Grap?
What are you afraid off? Always said they should... so what is your argument and why don't they? They don't want to? Fine - just leave the rest alone and respect their rights.
