No, mothra - you are the snowflake..... always whining about things that do not even involve you... making up issues out of thin air to say you are oppressed etc....   Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Not me holding my breath until i turn blue over a shaving ad.

Disagreeing with it is holding ones breath until they turn blue? This is the sort of hyperbole we have come to expect from you.

Now as Grap has put forward, two ends to a rope, marching, protesting and holding their breath until they turn blue... But that's OK.

Yes. men being fabulously represented. How awful for you all.

I was originally in favour of changing the day.
Its only a Sydneycentric thing.
But my friends who are indigenous did not think it was a good idea.
Plus imagine what the mullet wearing bogans would do.

people would still have Australia Day on the same date no matter what the government does.

On another angle .

At a time when democracy and rule of law is probably at its lowest ebb for some time, we should be holding on to our heritage which was based on British traditions.

Have a look at Africa, how many countries have decent governments honestly elected, have a look at gangster rule buy the gun and murder in Russia.
China is ruled by faceless non democratic means.
There are not many truly democratic countries in the world where the rule of law is upheld.

Australian Aboriginal people have accidently inherited one of the best forms of government available.
They have succeeded in plenty of legal battles,,, which they would have been shot for in many other countries.

Its also time to use technology and set a limit on who is and who isn't aboriginal.
We have 99% British people complaining they were invaded by the British.

It may not be polite, but its time.

Again for the slow to understand, you resist and aggressively fight any suggestion that men be in any way associated with the worst of the behaviour of men.

Right?

You're forever moaning about it.

Yet you happily relegate every other demographic to the least of their behaviour.

It's quite amusing to watch.

Not as amusing as watching you flail around the point and run off into all sorts of rabid tangents ... that's gold!

Noted and answered.... move on... if you were dealing in genuine equal treatment you would not single out Whart men.... Koons, Niggrahs, Slopes, Rag-heads, Wet-Backs and all such have their fair share of baddies.. even Wops and Wogs and Spicks...

Not at all, what you fail to understand is all people by group have bad behaviour within them. What people are saying is only taking one group, white men, and using them as an example of "toxic masculinity", is not particularly even handed. Look at black American gangsta culture, rap music, the worst kind of toxic masculinity. Yet in the examples in the ad it was using black men to stop white men showing their toxic masculinity by saying something as mild as "smile sweety". Look at the BBQ line. Why not choose rap culture as it target? Would you like some lyrics to show my point?

Maybe you don't see that part of the message or choose not to.

Err Grap, you're a white man. Is there some other way you would prefer me to refer to you as?

And no, i'm on excellent footing.

A Gillette ad sends you off in paroxysms of rage because you don't want to be associated with the worst of your gender.

Yet you routinely, and even aggressively defend, your right to refer to all other demographics as homogenous blobs. And be as offensive about it as possible and then taunt them when they take offence.

You're ridiculous. It's well known.

Support on this forum is not actually indicative of community support, just so you know.

I doubt any Australians are celebrating the establishment of a small settlement on Australia day. It's certainly never been mentioned in any Australia day ceremony I've ever attended. Australia day is about celebrating the country as a whole, not just one part or one settlement. Even without the aborigines complaint, the date is wrong  if you want to celebrate an anniversary for Australia day. It should be held on the anniversary of the date the states were federated. That is the day Australia came together as a nation.

Surely protesting what other protesters think is lily livered and racist. Some protesters are right, the rest should be shut down. Freedom of speech, init. How dare people hold dissenting views.

What exactly do the protesters want?

"BURN AUSTRALIA TO THE GROUND"

This was one placard slogan, which was being held up, by 'Invasion Day' protest marchers/activists, 2019,
which i saw in a report on SKY TV.

Divisive.

Incitement to violence [for their 'cause' ?].

Incitement to political violence [for their 'cause' ?].

Not, a message of 'bringing our peoples together'.

Not, a message of bringing Australians together.

Q.
Why wouldn't other people who were marching, close by, ask that particular placard holder to stop displaying such a 'suggestive' sign ?

Q.
Would such a request have seemed too unreasonable to make, considering the 'occasion' and their own 'companions' ?

I could not find any media image of the particular placard....

IMAGE.....
...

But one this displays, well enough, what the 'progressives' want to promote.

Community division.

Clearly, what indigenous peoples, 2019, want, is to assert that they are a separate people,
and that they are being oppressed by all of those peoples who invaded their nations.
[submissions to that affect, have been submitted to the United Nations Assembly.]

AND THE ABORIGINAL PEOPLE OF THIS CONTINENT,
ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT,       ANY MORE!!!!

Newsflash:

Bantu Africans say they have owned Africa for over 100,000 years!
That's 40-60,000 years longer than Aboriginals owning Australia as the First Australians (as long as they don't find Hominid skeletons).

Looks like Africa is the official 'Black' Land

You're the one on tangents, Honey - you raised the Gillette Joke for everyone to pull to bits....

MAN is sufficient for all such... paroxysms of laughter is the reality...

SHOW me where I've said that ALL Koons, Lebos, Mussos, Slopes, Niggrahs, Chinks, WetBacks, and such are bad....

I have always said that while some are bad within any group - not all are like that - with the exception of feminists... that's what's got up your nose....

I take the piss out of those groups when they start to play up and throw the piss around... for example, I had no issue with Australia Day and countless posts I've made state clearly that it is for ALL Australians, and if the Koons/Booris refuse to celebrate it as Australians - they can go their own way and give other people RESPECT for celebrating their way.

You don't get to be called a derogatory term by me unless and until you do it to me first... they you take your own medicine...

You for example - are the ultimate bigot, standing four square at all times on ONE side - whereas I stand on the side of ALL who are decent and respectful and who also happen to constitute the majority and expect genuinely equal treatment... not my fault or problem that you and other yay-sayers are simply incapable of understanding equal treatment in the real world, but instead mistake it for getting everything you think you want at any given time... without consideration for anyone else.

See you NEXT Australia Day - 26th January.

We want the date of Mabo Day changed... and NAIDOC Week abolished .. burnt to the ground.... along with all the Aboriginal only things.... and resumption of Ayers Rock for ALL Australians ...

Sow the breeze and reap the whirlwind.... you've created and are creating an alienated and radicalised opposition.... watch this space....

Stoopid is as stoopid does, as they allus say down in Green Bow....  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes
