Isn't it time for one of you whingers to try the dead zombie argument line that somehow those who are totally uninterested in changing Australia Day are 'afraid of change'... thus attempting to belittle their lack of concern over this non-issue and their resentment at being dragged into a non-discussion of a non-issue?
YOU are the aggressors here... you are the whingers .. you are the ones demanding .....
What change? Nothing to see here.... If you don't like it - suck it up.
what a load of rubbish. If you don't like something suck it up? How dense do you have to be to make a comment like that? Imagine if everyone throughout history sucked it up instead of trying to change things. You'd still be eating your masters scraps of the kitchen floor with no rights whatsoever.

and those wanting change have already said that will not change their demands
more rubbish. They want the date changed, It's as simple as that. Chnge the date to one everyone is happy with and they can't complain about the date again can they

even consider
.
but you're not considering it. You're telling them to shut up and be happy that they were invaded.. after all, you bought them 'civilization'

Europeans arrived
231 years ago and they had no concept then of land ownership or invasion and were not a natgion, and it was not an invasion, it was a small settlement
Tough titties what concept they did or didn't have then. The English forced the concept of land ownership onto them. Now that they use that concept you want them to ignore it?
And that 'small settlement' was the start of the invasion.

No need for them to feel threatened by the celebration of the establishment of a tiny settlement. As usual, you've got it backwards - on purpose.
small settlement? so why call it Australia day? It should be called 'small settlement day'
I doubt any Australians are celebrating the establishment of a small settlement on Australia day. It's certainly never been mentioned in any Australia day ceremony I've ever attended. Australia day is about celebrating the country as a whole, not just one part or one settlement. Even without the aborigines complaint, the date is wrong if you want to celebrate an anniversary for Australia day. It should be held on the anniversary of the date the states were federated. That is the day Australia came together as a nation.

I don't target anyone
I was using 'you' in the plural form, and not talking about you in particular.

Then why do YOU draw the distinction
you draw a distinction when you pretend the aborigines complaints are not valid.

Always said they should... so what is your argument and why don't they?
because it's the anniversary of when they were invaded. You're asking them to pretend that didn't happen and be happy about it. Name one other culture that celebrates the day they were invaded?

They don't want to?
Who says they don't want to? They want to celebrate Australia day, they're just as proud to be Australian as you are. They just can't celebrate on that day.

Patriotic. Not a termite like you. You are obviously 2nd gen or 3rd generation who can't handle that our British ancestry created something that you now live off. Nice way to say thanks?
you should celebrate 'Roman day' if thats the case. You must be a termite If it were up to the brits you'd still be living in a tent and shitting in your drinking water.

No, not everyone's concerns are valid.
sure they are. You might choose to not agree with their point of view, but pretending it's not valid is just shoving your head up your arse and ignoring reality.
