Yadda, can you go the other way?
What specifically about Trump makes you believe he is Christian?
We do not redeem ourselves. [.....if you give that theology any credence].
But we do all, make choices.
Making an effort to get right with our creator,
is a choice.
"Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."Q.Did DJ Trump repent -
to God ?
A.I can only speak for myself.
.
Luke 24:27
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luke 16:31
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
sin* repent*
I preach that we should repent [be sorry for our wrongdoing, and turn to God], and that Jesus will intercede for us, with God.
Which is the same message.
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 11:20
Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
Luke 17:3
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
But what do Christians and the Christian churches preach, today ???
A.That it is OK to trespass against God's law [of righteousness], because God is 'bound' [by the 'new covenant'], to forgive us.
.
'Israel', 'the children of Israel', are the 'type' of the children of God [our creator].
WHAT DID THE OLD TESTAMENT PROPHETS CONTINUALLY PREACH, to 'the children of Israel' [and to anyone else who would listen!] ?
Isaiah 55:6
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Deuteronomy 8:2
And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years
in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
Q.Are we redeemed [from 'the wilderness'] ?
Not yet !
