Bobby, he has as many followers, regardless of whether or not they intend it so, as opposers
and we little humans didn't start the fight
like kids in an ugly divorce, we're just meat in the sandwich
Ages ago, working like a slave in the yard, I was interrupted every weekend by the holy-rollers
one day I was over it -- heat, flies, dirt, sweat, struggle with tree roots, etc. and along came a holy roller with a bunch of his little kids, brandishing a book in front of him and with a sickening smile
he started on his spiel. His kids were like robots. Guess he believed he was raising them right by invading people's homes and lives with his unsolicited mouthings
my kids were helping me in the yard, not invading anyone. Nor was I
His self-important face got me on the wrong side, wrong time
I interrupted me as he was winding into gear and said hey, we didn't start this fight. This is between God and Satin. We're stuck in the middle, like kids in an ugly divorce
So here's the deal. Christ told us to forgive, to forgive is divine, right?
So, to end this eons long squabble between God and Satin, why doesn't God forgive Satin and bring an end to it? That way, peace will be on earth and we can all go about our lives
The guy lost a beat, lost his tongue. His kids continued staring at nothing -- he'd already killed their will to live
He was rooted to the spot. His presentation allowed for no interruptions, apparently. I just wanted to go back to what I was doing before he landed. So I said it again, Why doesn't God do as he preaches and forgive Satin?
The guy folded his book, herded his kids away down the driveway and called back to me, ' I'll be back in a minute. I want to go ask my wife about what you said. She knows more than me. She's on the other side of the road'. Meaning, I supposed, that he was working one side of the street and his wife the other. Regular Sunday invaders, believing they were racking up gold stars for themselves in heaven
I called out to him, '
Don't bother. No need to come back. I'm going inside now anyway. Hope you and your wife work out some answers for yourselves. Bye'
