I just looked at the increase in CO2 and  Tempereature.

The data from -

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1091926/atmospheric-concentration-of-co2-his...

and -

https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v4/

From 1961- 1991 CO2 increased by 37.25 parts per million (ppm)
Temperature increased by 0.37C  dividing temperature by CO2 level gives a factor of 0.993

From 1992 to 2021 CO2 increased by 59.91ppm
Temperature increased by 0.62 similar division gives a factor of 1.03.

There is little sign of amplification of temperature that is supposed to occur. Roll Eyes

Temperature increased by 0.27C  dividing temperature by CO2 level gives a factor of 1.07

From 1992 to 2021 CO2 increased by 59.91ppm
Temperature increased by 0.94 similar division gives a factor of 0.94.

There is NO sign of amplification of temperature that is supposed to occur.  Roll Eyes

It's called 'real politics'..and what's possible for government to legislate....

She's a "Sociologist" so she just knows.

So now you are arguing against your own linked article; we  both agree she contradicted herself.

The IPCC disagrees with you.

Some of them, according to you. Nevertheless the '43% by 2030' legislation will pass through the Oz parliament who accept the IPCC's findings. .

So to get "free" eelectricity Government would have to fund all the unreliables and not charge for maintenance, replacement, the required landfill from toxic PV panels and fibres from wind turbine blades. And of course all on the back of government employees who would I assume work for wages maintaining the "free" dream. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

No; PVs in a fraction of the world's sunny deserts, with smart grids and pumped hydro, can supply free global energy.

And you would be wrong. Poor old randy has been trying for years. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

He's obviously winning; the Oz parliament is finally getting on with it, now that the conservatives are back on the opposition benches. .

I just noticed she contradicted herself, therefore didn't persist with what she was trying to say. Feel free to tell us what you think she was trying to say.

Oz has definite competitive advantages in renewables, which will be hard to turn back...

Paid for by the government....without taxing or borrowing from the private sector....(since there are no inflationary implications in funding the wages of maintenance workers)

The fossil industry should be nationalized, but yes, we will see.

Conservative neoliberal mythology.

In the 1946 - 1970's  Keynesian 'welfare state' era, governments funded necessary public housing, public services, full employment, and wages growth.

That's right, under the current 'small government',  'balanced govt. budget' mantra of neoliberal dogma.

A currency-issuing govt. doesn't need to 'balance its budget'.
