And this, interviewing Detectives would have a far greater degree of experience and ability to pick mistruths than most psychologists. Why is this I hear you ask? Because thats their bread and butter, what they do for a living. Not sure what a "specialist" psychologist is, obviously a term picked up from TV.

I personally think her voice sounded about right for someone reporting a kid went missing just 15 mins ago. Tense but still in control.

I wouldn't draw any conclusions from that. If he had wandered off into the bush, after 15 mins you're concerned, not hysterical. Also people have vastly different reactions to the same situation.

15 minutes is only a look up the street

If you were really searching for someone, an hour would go by at least, then if not found, call triple "0" and ask for assistance, not just say "My son is missinghe'sthreeandahalf" blah blah, then thank the lady in a nonchalant way and hang-up

She didn't ask for assistance and she didn't really imply it, she was just telling a story and glad the lady listened to her story and wrote down some details, and thankful the lady was sounding somewhat sympathetic

There's lots wrong with what the mother said, and how she said it ... the cops should have got in a specialist psychologist to pick it to pieces, but if they did, he/she wasn't on the ball

You are not an expert, in fact you are the opposite of an expert, you are an idiot giving an uniformed opinion. Leave it to people with brain cells.

A poster on OP giving an uninformed opinion is unusual because
...? BTW, Bias is one of the more thoughtful posters on this s.h.i.t show, and that's coming from a dumb ass such as myself.
He didnt do too well here.  Shocked

Opinions are never wrong.

Not an opinion.

It was IMO.

How would you describe the police's handling of the case?

Methodical and painstaking,  as is the vast majority of police work.

I'm sure publicly apologising to the wrongfully accused is painstaking.

cases like this are a waste of police resources.

the police dont want to confront the APEX gang in fitroy.

but they are happy to spend years on cases like this.

i imagine 100's of police sitting around in a country pub, laughing and joking and getting paid overtime to wander around doing an emu bob to look for evidence in the bush 7 years later when floods and fires have been thru the area.

they must be pissing themselves laughing as they walk around in the fresh country air listening to spotify and living a stress free , taxpayer funded , dream

We'll see how Bill Spedding's case against the police goes.

This current investigation seems to be chasing shadows, totally apparently random activity, including a failed radar ground probe of the garage floor.

Keystone Cops like.

The garage floor was a fail call since it was apparently laid soon after the kids disappearance. wouldnt be the first time a body was concealed that way. Not basis for calling it keystone.

It's not just that.  All this digging in specific places and producing.....SFA and all very deliberately in front of cameras.  Surely the degree to which the Cops are seeking camera presence is very unusual.

It was completely fake that call - the cops should picked up on it in two seconds flat ... if you reckon they are better than a specialist psychologist

It was only a few weeks ago that all the armchair experts were blaming the mother for the disappearance of Cleo Smith in WA. Lets also not forget the same thing happening with Lindy Chamberlain.

Finding someone guilty based on a video is the height of stupidity

False assumptions again?

The vid has a real life triple "0" recording ... and I'm not implying guilt, I'm implying a "cover-up" of the truth by the mother, after listening to that recording
