Yes, Indonesia has the worlds largest population of Muslims. Yes the majority do not support stoning, however, Indonesian Muslims are becoming more radical, a much higher proportion support Sharia law and regressive punishments such as stoning. FGM is making a comeback, this is due to Islamic cultural influence from the middle east. Saudi Arabia has a very big influence in Indonesia, this is because of Islam and this is a negative for Indonesia and human rights.

Saudi Arabia has been promoting and fomenting extremism in SouthEast Asia for decades with the support of the US and the West in general since the USA used terrorism against the Russians in Afghanistan in the 1970s and 1980s. Pakistan is still suffering from the import of terrorism that the USA supported to fight in Afghanistan.

Saudi Arabia saw the opportunity to spread Wahabism and Sunni influence throughout SE Asia by the establishment of Madrasas (schools) where they could infest and poison young minds.

In the past, the USA did not oppose Saudi Arabia's extremism because it was useful to the USA in the Middle East to spread chaos and disunity in Nations.

ISIS is the result of stupid US policy in Iraq and Saudis fomenting, financing, and arming Iraqi Sunni extremists.
