The truth these days equals conformity, conformity to the beholder's opinions.

Actual objective fact is irrelevant, especially here.

A lot of what GetUp! tends to support is based on the facts of the situation.  They're not a shining beacon of truth because when something doesn't fit their ideological stance they ignore it.  It's better than lying about it like the Murdock rags but it's still not perfect.

Those who hate on GetUp! have no problem with the influences that support their side or their stances.  They don't like GetUp! because for too long the lies told that bolster support for their ideology went unopposed.

You have to fight money with money, and that's what GetUp! is.

And unless those attacking GetUp! will advocate for real reform in that area, they just want their side funded and not the other.

To those people, go eat a dick.  You're part of the problem, almost more so than the parties involved.  It's their support and hypocrisy towards their side that had created the void that GetUp! tried to fill.

All they want is a safe space so the lies they like to hear, that supports the world view their insecurities need to sleep at night can be spread unopposed as if they're true.
