nevertheless, FGM continues.  Women -- if we should call them that --- sacrifice their little daughters to the vile cult under which they serve.  And fathers -- we should not call them that -- insist their daughters' feminity be desecrated, destroyed.  Because they're afraid to think for themselves and too gutless to be any sort of men.  To maintain their fragile sense of ownership and masculinity, they must destroy their daughters' bodies in order they, the father and owner of those bodies and minds, can hold up their insane heads before all the other men insane heads in their community
