Isn't his contract...like all work contracts....only valid AT WORK...unless clearly stated otherwise? I can't see where it says it is for personal life as well.

What he does in his personal life has nothing to do with RA.
His contract should have included....ON OR OFF FIELD.

Take an down Mr Falou.

Grow up all you easily offended dipshytes. Couldn't care less if you're offended. What someone else's opinion of you is, is bone of your bloody buisiness. Stop making it your buisiness....cause it isn't.
Poofs know that what they do is not right....hence getting offended.

I suggest you read the Code of Conduct.

How about you highlight the bit you're obviously referring to.

1.6 "Do not make any public comment that is critical of the performance of a match official, player, team official, coach or employee/officer/volunteer of any club or a Union; or on any matter that is, or is likely to be, the subject of an investigation or disciplinary process; or otherwise make any public comment that would likely be detrimental to the best interests, image and welfare of the Game, a team, a club, a competition or Union."

1.7 "Use Social Media appropriately. By all means share your positive experiences of Rugby but do not use Social Media as a means to breach any of the expectations and requirements of you as a player contained in this Code or in any Union, club or competition rules and regulations."

"Social Media means any form of online or interactive application or other form or medium that enables users to create, share and/or upload content, including SMS, MMS, email and such platforms as Facebook, WhatsApp, Myspace, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, blogs, podcasts, message boards and websites."

Where does it mention restriction of religious beliefs and how they should be voiced?

I'm curious........

Look, the issue is very simple here.  Folau made an offensive comment on social medial that is against the code of conduct.  That is why he was fired.  Had he being a non christian, and made the same comment, the same would happen as well.

So this is not a question of religions freedom, but rather code of conduct activities.  There are plenty of Christians out there.  And you dont see them going around uttering non sense that gays are going to hell.  In fact, you will see alot of Christians out there, in the community helping out marginalized people including those of LGBTI communities.

I think whoever in the Australian Christian lobby is handling this issue should be fired.  Its no wonder church attentions are declining over the years especially among young people.  And I cant believe they contribute $10000 for a case for someone who had done the wrong thing, and pretend that its about religious freedom when its not.

Those $70000 could have go to their local church to help out those who really in need, rather than in the pockets of lawyers, and waste time in our tax payer funded courts.   Angry

Rugby Australia Code of Conduct

Rugby Australia Code of Conduct  9

3 CODE OF CONDUCT – ADMINISTRATORS, OFFICERS OF A RUGBY BODY
3.1 The safety, health and welfare of players comes first.  Be aware of, and always comply with, the Rugby AU Safety Policies and Guidelines and be alert to minimise dangerous or foul play.
3.2 Treat everyone equally regardless of gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, cultural or religious background, age or disability. Any form of bullying, harassment or discrimination has no place in Rugby.
3

why did you stop highlighting there and not include the next 7 words?

Exactly.

Folau The Fleecer is clearly a bully.

I am not offended by his comments   he is welcome to his opinion of what the Bible means...

absolutely ...

and  I think most have pointed that out...

people are being asked to pick a side..

he has even asked people to donate to  HIS SIDE.. Roll Eyes

so those of us who consider he was given a very simple request......please do not post on SOCIAL MEDIA your religious beliefs......this was also written into a contract he signed should he want to continue in his chosen WORK... playing a game of RU....

it was in fact a condition for him to play for Australia...

I believe he is wrong..

you believe he has every right..
and now think its ok to insult those who have a different opinion... Angry

Exactly
The terminally offended are the way they are because they realise that
1) it's not normal
2) it's disgusting
3) they are mentally ill
4) they have no moral high ground.

Hence, they are always on the attack and continually offended.

Put them in the asylum where they belong, treat their illness and the world will be a better place.

NO, they are not sick, they are not crazy, and the world is NOT a better place without diversity.   And this is the views of majority, so deal with it.

I think Greggy wants to hang Izzy
because he feels guilty about his own behaviour -
actually worried that he won't go to heaven.

Don't worry Greggy  - you only need to repent.

Jesus saves.

Hang Folau The Fleecer - why?

I just want him to have the balls to accept the consequences of what he's done.

He lost his job - that's the end of it.

He doesn't need to receive any further punishment.

He just needs to move on, and learn from his mistakes.
