WW2 in the Pacific.

I've been doing some casual reading.  After Pearl Harbour (which US Carriers survived) there was the Battle of the Coral Sea and then Midway.

The outcome of both was a sheer fluke with just one lesson.......reconnaissance is a vital priority.  Both sides (especially in Coral Sea) stuffed up and largely, luck handed the money to the US.

Aussie has just discovered there was a war in the Pacific. So don't mention the Atom Bombs, it'll be too much of a shock for him
