some people cant help themselves when it comes to cash    I have a son like that  no he isnt on welfare but he is always skint..and very little to show for what money he does have...some people are like that they cant handle money...give them enough for the week and its gone in two days...a card is the only way.... and if you discriminate you are called on it  so it has to involve all who receive welfare...its reality get over it..

Why not make it opt-in then?

This whole give them cash thing is a Greeny Labor Policy to try to win votes and to Hell with the consequences.

Labor just let the Aboriginies drink and drug themselves to death with fierce violence in their communities.

But the Libs have tried to improve the health of the Aboriginies and reduce drunken and drugged violence in their communities.

The card is so dysfunctional that nobody would choose it.

Yeah I was asking cods. It's like that stupid medical record thing nobody opted in so they made it opt out.

11 million workers. 10 million jobs. Do the maths.

Your harebrained idea is just pie in the sky BS, do you have a plan B to deal with the thousands of abbos congregating in areas with zero employment prospects causing mayhem and drinking themselves to death?

Denizen xeej exemplifies the failure of society in producing morons who publish arrant nonsense about social issues and cry when criticized.

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.

It's not nonsense, that's was why the card was introduced and has been in operation for a couple of years.

xeej,

LarfTillUFart is mad as a 2 bob watch ie she is not the full quid. Must be a loony Greeny.

This getting rid of the card nonsense is a Greeny/Labor POLICY because they want the Aboriginies to drink and drug themselves senseless so they will vote for Labor.

This is from Ceduna alone and they only speak of a core group, there are many more that come from far and wide, like Yalata which is a dry zone.

EVERY afternoon on the outskirts of Ceduna, a seaside community on the edge of the Nullarbor, groups of dedicated drinkers shuffle along the Eyre Highway towards town to spend their welfare dollars on booze and drink themselves into oblivion.

Mayor Allan Suter, shop owners and residents in the town fear a core group of about 75 will drink themselves to death. That's if they survive the B-Doubles thundering down the highway

Tourists attracted by the fresh seafood and Norfolk pine-lined foreshore are so alarmed they flee Ceduna, 785km northwest of Adelaide, almost as soon as they arrive. "It is totally out of control," Mr Suter said. "People are just drinking themselves to death.

The introduction of the card back up the words from the Mayor and the locals.

I can understand why you don't believe it, its something you have to see with your own eyes.

Welfare is not an income, it's not meant to be.

It's meant to help you survive until you GET A JOB.

Therefore, it should only be spent on the necessities.
No grog
No smokes
No drugs
No holidays

Just food, accommodation, clothing and fares to job interviews.

The card should be mandatory for ALL welfare recipients.

If they want anything else......GET A DAMN JOB
