In the land of the free where private competition is everything what in dogs name is the government doing building multi billion dollar refineries for a private company? This is a place where the government don't believe in doing anything for their own people, they hate welfare but happily provide billions in wealthfare.

Not only is it not fake news but the workers were paid to attend as confirmed by a Shell spokesperson and the community of the 17th district of Pennsylvania after voting for Trump in 2016 by over 18 points were betrayed by him when the promised tax cuts failed to materialize and voted for Democrat Conor Lamb in the midterms.

Unlike you, they saw through Trump's bullshit and aren't having a bar of him anymore, especially after this latest lie.

So we're happy to attack Biden when he confuses dates for shootings when he was Vice President and when he wasn't, but we're ok with Trump "confusing dates" for something that was approved before he was even in politics with something he claims to be directly responsible for?

Seems like Trump is getting senile in his old age.

Of course, I know that, just trying to highlight the usual hypocrisy where the right will attack their opponents but then not hold Trump to anything close to the level they demand of the left.

That said, there is no doubt Trump has been showing an accelerated mental decline over the past 2 years.

There is a little more to the story. Nobody was forced to go, but, given they were considering the day a "training day" and Trump considered a guest speaker, those who went and signed in with their ID would have been paid to attend.

If you wanted the full day's pay including accruing the full overtime benefits, you had to attend. Anyone who didn't want to attend would have to take an excused, but non-paid, absence.

Those who were in attendance were forbidden from protesting, however.

So if you wanted a full days pay, you were forced to attend.

Different, an important distinction, especially in a district that voted heavily against Trump in the mid-terms compared to the 2016 election but still an instance of a crowd needing to be paid to attend a Trump rally.

These were not Shell plant workers. They were construction workers who have nothing to do with the Shell Plant employee practices. The plant isn't even finished yet!

The job site was shut down for the day and the Construction firm was actually being pretty generous to the workers by not just sending them home for the day.

I don't like Trump either, but you could at least try to find out the facts instead of running BS posts.
