I sold some garden pots last month, it was more about getting them cleared out than making money so I advertised them for $30 as whenever I've offered stuff for free it attracts time wasters. So some Indian bloke turned up to buy them, loaded them in his car then wobbled his head at me and said, can you make a discount for me.

I said tell you what, if it REALLLY helps you out I'll give them to you for $25.
He said oh yes thank you. He had a smug look on his face like he just won the exchange but didn't realise I insulted the crap out of the cheap bastard.

I think in some cultures one feels like he lost if they don't "negotiate." What they don't realize that if they do in Anglosphere they lose ... I had a set of tires and wheels for a Toyota 4runner and put them on FB Marketplace for USD 300 and a Hispanic called me wanting a discount. I politely said "no" and sold them 10 minutes later to someone else for what I asked.

Only a desperate Seller 'negotiates' and negotiation is the first sign that its going the Buyer's way.
Big Corporations are rich, because they stuck to their fixed Price in what they sell. No negotiation, no discount and their only 'Freebie' is a 'Tip' of professional advice in showing/proving the price is what is deserved.

Weak is the Seller who negotiates for he knows not the true value of what he sells is worth.

Garage Sales and the Moslems come 'earlier' than the advertised time of the Sale hoping to 'negotiate' cheaper prices as if him 'que jumping' other buyers has earned him the right to get a cheaper price.  Roll Eyes It's an insult to the Seller's intelligence. Most people tell the Moslem "No. Come back at the set advertised time and if I repeat myself, don't come back at all."
For the Moslem will open his mouth to about say "But I just was driving by on my way to 'far away'..." as if to 'open' the Negotiation in his favour. A smart one would keep his mouth shut.
I've heard of Owners of Garage Sales setting their dogs onto these Moslems who try to badger and persevere annoyingly.
Of one who saw the Moslem stand 'behind' his wife and use her as some bargaining tool. The Owner walked down the drive way to them. Felt the Moslem woman up with a tit rub for 5 seconds before lowering his hand and saying "Still not interested." and walked back up the drive way.

Three-Fingers Haji Gordon's garage sale?

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.

Gordon is not a Moslem. So what's with your fascination with Haji and his 3 Fingers? You always seem excitable when you mention 3 Fingers Haji.  Huh
Do you go up to a Tree and call it a Coke Bottle?
Let alone hope it has 3 Fingers for you to play with?

You're weird.  Roll Eyes
