Op shop bargains

Bought an Australian print of Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.

Hardcover, solid front and back cover, excellent condition.

Cost me $1.00.

I prefer Les Norton, a knockabout broke from outback Qld, knocking heads together and breaking hearts in Bondi.

Op shops just seem to be full of women's clothing, I couldn't even find a nice cardigan the last time I ventured into one.

Yup. But I drive my old Mum around and she likes op shops. Lately—she has not been able to find the craft things she wants (cotton or wool or whatever) while I have been finding a few nice books.  Smiley

That is so Gay.
I never drive my mother around.
I've paid for a car and young male driver called Derek to take her to expensive boutique shops on day trips out away from my old man who spends his time in down town Sydney China Town being very friendly with the locals and teaching them the Australian cultural tradition of drinking heaps of beer and getting drunk. He is so nice to them. A real shining example of friendliness that he lets them have two beers to his one until they fall over and can't get up again. But he takes care of them by finding their wallets so he can find out where they live and then finds their keys to take them inside their own house and there he makes sure that everything is taken care of  Wink

You're a good son. When my mum comes over for Sunday lunch I usually pick her up then pop her in an Uber for the trip home. Some arseholes actually let their mums ride home in a taxi. Would hate to think what would happen to her if she nodded off.

its nice to hear of sons looking after their old mums......I would wait for months for my son to do something....if I was one of his mates he would be there in a flash....never mind he does turn up eventually..

keep up the good work boys...
