Fake news my friend is the new norm
get used to it

Trump because he was paying attention realised that this was the case in about 2015
Trump because he was paying attention saw that most people were now getting their news from Google and Facebook

The major TV networks and traditional media outlets are in a death spiral
They are going broke
As they go broke they employ less journalists and do less legitimate research.

And here is the real kicker
As they clamber for eyeballs they resort to clickbait and sensationalism and so by the very definition of what they are trying to achieve they are becoming more and more unreliable extreme and full of gossip and crap

The only thing a politician can now rely on is his own core energy
People can't tell fact from fiction
So they are just going to read body language and non-verbal cues
Trump is an absolute master of body language and non-verbal cues and he will demolish any opponent in the current media climate

You should study that for about 5 years

Mr Trump learned about fake news from his media liaison man, John Barron.

John Barron was also Mr Trump.

Mr Trump's knowledge of fake news comes from creating it himself. John Barron would call the gossip columnists and say things like Prince Charles was considering an apartment in Trump Tower. John Barron said Mr Trump got along swimmingly with Princess Di. He said Mr Trump had dated her a number of times.

You see? Fake news. In reality, Mr Trump was selling apartments to Saudi sheiks and Russian oligarchs, those considered the nouveau rich. Today, of course, those connections have formed the basis of Mr Trump's foreign policy.

The old money on the East Coast hated greedy little conmen like John Barron, not to mention the corrupt foreign thugs he did business with. The media lapped it up because it sold newspapers and magazines. The gossip columnists didn't mind putting a few fake news tidbits out there. "A source says..." and "an anonymous reporter told..." were the tabloid equivalent of Mr Trump's usual source, "everybody". As in, "I mean, everybody's saying it."

That person, of course, is Mr Trump.

Mr Trump is one of the fake news pioneers. He might have failed with investments, but he's never been stuck for a lie. Mr Trump is of the school of all publicity is good publicity. He failed to see why the old money would be revolted at this. Fuelling stories about his affairs, his marriage breakups, his dirty laundry, Mr Trump could never understand why the Establishment didn't respect him.

All Mr Trump has ever wanted is a positive article in the Post or the Times. All Mr Trump has ever wanted is to be believed.

Do you think it's time he changed tactics?

good grief NOOOOOO!!!!!.

when the mainstream media is dominated by sensationalism and click baiting, why would he change tactics when those very tactics are the new weaponry.

Because his job is to look after the interests of the country and its people.

It's been two and a half years, and he hasn't even started doing that yet.

Trump would be better of resigning, starting his own news channel and doing daily crosses from his gold office, or prison cell.  He'll get the attention he wants and someone else can run the country and do a good job.

Incorrect.

Most politicians are of the intellectual elite and are full of ideas.
Most ideas for policy change are stupid and won't work.

Someone like Donald who has done years of brutal training , recognises that most new ideas fail and the government should let the private sector do the innovating.

And in the private sector most businesses will still fail but some will achieve spectacular success.

So by being humble and restricting himself to golf, twitter and wall construction, Donald makes some space for the awesome, courageous, noble , creative entrepreneurs and venture capitalists to make the country great.

Awesome, humble, intuitive, sober , sensible non-interference in our noble markets

Apart from trade wars on multiple fronts and the biggest government deficit in US history, sure.

Sensible non-interference in our noble markets.

BUILD THE WALL.

Oh so you think real wars such as we had under Obama are preferable to trade wars?

Also gov deficits and debt are unavoidable with our monetary system. If you knew something about economics you wouldn't (or perhaps you would) make those comments. Its a system that may be behind the unwarranted hysteria we see to impeach Trump. The fight between legal nationally funded banking and private central banking is an unreported war thats been going on for centuries. Do the people control their nations or unelected globalist bankers?

The old saying "the hand that gives is always above the hand that takes".

I think "they" may be a little frightened of Trump!

Well in that case your claim is wrong or you're lying.

Everything crossed out was released from day 1.

The problem with you is you didn't bother to fact check the claim. You think the media are fake news, you saw this post on Twitter or Reddit and just reposted it thinki g "boom got em" but you were just posting fake news.

Idiot.

good grief NOOOOOO!!!!!.

when the mainstream media is dominated by sensationalism and click baiting, why would he change tactics when those very tactics are the new weaponry.

trump was just "paying attention".

and all publicity IS good publicity.

answer me this.

if there were 2 threads.

one entitled "trump and the pope get swedish massage together"
the other entitled " new data on climate change".

which one is going to spread.
which one will be shared
which one would YOU read first (even knowing its fake news).

and when you "react" to trump, he is "leading " you and you are putting him on a pedestal

The Establishment would have you believe that the job of leaders is not to sell scandals, dear, it's to shape and implement policy in the national good.

Climate change, health care, job losses due to automatisation, the geopolitical rise of China - these are issues the elites say can't be ignored.

Instead, Mr Trump spends an average of 4 hours a day in the Oval Office and uses the rest of his time campaigning and Tweeting and watching TV.

Worse, they say, when Mr Trump does do his job and talks to foreign leaders, he just acts in his own interest, fishing for fake info on his political opponents and undermining the work of his own agencies.

What a load of crap, eh?

Fat Steve and Janeen want a leader who sticks to his own interests. Forget us, they say, you focus on yourself. They understand the Paretto Principle: to he who has more, more shall be given.

Now Mr Trump, of course, has been given the VIP treatment his whole life. He used to do his paper round in a chauffeured limousine. If anyone deserves more, it's Mr Trump.

Why won't the Establishment just give him the respect he craves? If Fat Steve and Janeen can do it, why not the elites?

that gets to the crux of the matter.

trump is no more in the "running the country" business, then mcdonalds is in the "providing excellent nutrition" business.

the country is run by the strong powerful aspirational assertive noble businessmen.
certainly not by politicians.

so what business is trump in?
how do we "rate his success".

his occupancy of the white house is the equivalent of mcdonalds being the most profitable fast food company or apple selling the most phones.

trumps success as a politician can only be seen in terms of his demolition of rubio, bush and cruz and his subsequent demolition of clinton.

in the same way apple demolished nokia and blackberry and then demolished erikson and samsung.

trumps position as number 1 is the gold standard of success in the game of politics  BY THE DEFINITION OF THE GAME ITSELF

Apple demolished its rivals with superior working products, dear.

Are you saying Mr Trump can demolish his rivals with an inferior product?

I know the game's not about working hard and getting your due. That's just the Coke we sell Fat Steve.

But do you think the elites will ever get the Paretto principle? Many of them want to see their politicians work in their interests too.
