Can I climb Stonehenge?
Maybe tow a stone away for my personal use on my newly gained farm nearby?

Uluru is like an Arkenstone.
The Heart of this Land and 'we' all just left a scar upon it.
Can I climb all over Anzac shrines and monuments?
Can I walk all over Parliment House, climb over the old one?
What would happen if I bulldozed Anita Cobby's Memorial park?
How about I drop landfill into that Bondi hole by the sea?

All things sacred.
Why can't you respect theirs?
What did they do to you?
Did they hold out on you (this country) while they waited for you to crawl out of your European hole where no sunlight shines to tan up your skin?

Uluru is more than just a rock.
It belongs to a Global Mythology.

All of those things you mentioned are man made for a reason.
Abbos didn't make Ayers Rock. They didn't make anything.

A new LAW has passed ..

How come only Abbos can climb it?

That's racist.

Can a stranger climb the steeple on the Sydney Cathedral, Gordon?

Can a stranger climb the arch on Sydney Harbour Bridge?

Can a stranger climb onto the roof of the MCG?

There are many places where strangers, unsupervised are not allowed to go.  One of them happens to be Uluru now.  Indigenous people are the traditional custodians of the Rock.  They decide who climbs and who doesn't.  Otherwise, why were they granted land rights?    Cool

Don't they do climbing tours of the harbour bridge?

I notice you didn't list any hills or mountains there Brian. Why is that?

Sydney Cathedral is man made
SHB is man made
MCG is man made

Who made Ayres Rock?

Immaterial.  They are places where climbing, unsupervised, is prohibited, Gordon.  When strangers are allowed to wander off the street and climb those places, get back to us.  Roll Eyes

Under supervision, Cods, under supervision.  Strangers are not allowed to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge or any other place I mentioned.  Funny that, 'cause that is what some fools are demanding they being allowed to do on Uluru.

I am unsure why people who will more than likely never, ever climb Uluru are so upset by the idea that the Traditional Owners have decided to stop people climbing it.  Pauline Hanson changer her mind after climbing part way and decided that climbing it was dangerous.  Why aren't they willing to accept her word?  Mmmm?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Ayers rock is not the biggest rock in Australia, it is not unique. Now you can look at it through a chain link fence, ridiculous. I think this is only going to deter tourism, they have made a big mistake. I reckon "the traditional custodians" are being pushed into doing this by white politically correct advisors .

Uluru is actually the head of the snake of a 26km long solidified sediment of an ancient river that bent upwards at the end. The Olgas are the same, but broken like tributaries - Hydra

So now national icons that are sacred to all real Australians are now the exclusive property of those who were never Australians before 'Invasion Day'... the day that eventually brought them roads, cars, hospitals, the dole, longer life, far lower infant mortality rate, better healthcare, support for those afflicted by the violence of the strongest ape, sewerage, fishing rods and boats, guns to shoot kangaroos..... not to mention urbanising them so as to aid in the recovery of the native animals they claim to have been 'husbanding' for thousands of years.... more farken goannas now then when Blackey ran the show....  nobody farken burns off swathes of bush to toast snakes and goannas and such for the supper table... now we've got Farken WAR burning off the bush to attack Whartey like that dopey Aboriginal chick in Melbadishu said while she was feasting off Whartey's table.......

Oh... and BTW.. "Invasion Day" gave them the opportunity to even claim Ayers Rock as some 'secred site, mete'.... wihout 'Invasion day' it would be open slather for anyone who could get past the spears of the local itinerants.... not that anyone with sense would want to wander out there anyway...

SO ........................ people can now climb Ayers Rock under supervision?  Who'd have thunk it, given the current hand-over of a national icon to a group who mostly have no ties to the area and the ghetto fence around it?
