..I see a storm coming...... not now... not here.. but soon ...... no wonder the 'government' bends over backwards to dilute the Australian gene.... what towel-head or burkha'd sheila would consider Ayers Rock as a national sacred site?

They never heard of it..... have no idea what Australia is ..... and care even less.....

Maybe if they cut down the Australian gene to a low enough percentage, nobody will be left to protest any insanity pushed on the nation... ah .... that's the game plan....

Ah - so public land is only public land as long as some group doesn't want to control it?  How does that preserve your home?

Ayers Rock isn't 'public land' it is a NATIONAL icon, and can't be public land if it is claimed by some small group who never did anything with it ... so nobody has the right to exclude anyone since nobody owns it .....

Thanks for coming...

Its only a matter of time until the money runs out and the younger people will open the rock again
Remember when the greenies thought that getting land rights would shut down the mines....only to have the mining companies cleanse away the sacredness with cash

Who cant see that coming

Comparing climbing Ayres Rock to climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It's a publicly paid for and critical piece of infrastructure and when people climb it, the police have to close the bridge and gridlock a huge city for half a day.

Ayres Rock is just a natural land formation and is no different to any other big rock, hill or mountain. If there is a valid reason to stop people from climbing it, then those reasons should be applied to all rocks, hills or mountains.

I don't accept the notion that it's sacred, just as I don't accept any other rubbish from any other religion.

Abbos gradually trying to claw back their land .

They didnt have the skills or intelligence to fight off invaders

So now they get their white mates to do it for them......at a cost of course.

This is a dangerous precedent, allowing primitives to stop people from walking anywhere based on some bull shite religious excuse

We all know, and its a known fact, that abbos pull the bullshite religious aspect at every opportunity

Most times its crap.
Secret women's business was proven as crap
stolen generation is crap
Smoking ceremony is crap

Just because an abbo shites, walks, looks at or sniffs on some piece of land, does not make it sacred

Ban abbos from all cities

These are our cultural heritage and should not be stepped on by heathens.

They must ensure that they DO NOT ENCROACH on any white mans lands or property

They must leave all cities and relinquish all houses and welfare payments starting immediately.

This includes any who call themselves abbos white, black or yellow,

They want their primitive past?

Give it to them in spades

And when they all die out, we can simply use the land regardless

Im sick to death of this shite

They either contribute or piss off and use nothing of the billions they have scammed from the taxpayer.

Can a stranger climb onto the roof of the MCG?

There are many places where strangers, unsupervised are not allowed to go.  One of them happens to be Uluru now.  Indigenous people are the traditional custodians of the Rock.  They decide who climbs and who doesn't.  Otherwise, why were they granted land rights?    Cool

Sydney Cathedral is man made
SHB is man made
MCG is man made

Who made Ayres Rock?

Immaterial.  They are places where climbing, unsupervised, is prohibited, Gordon.  When strangers are allowed to wander off the street and climb those places, get back to us.  Roll Eyes

Are any of them off-limits because some group has projected spiritual significance onto them and used that as a basis to ban women from it, as well as men from the wrong racial groups?

Ayers rock is not the biggest rock in Australia, it is not unique. Now you can look at it through a chain link fence, ridiculous. I think this is only going to deter tourism, they have made a big mistake. I reckon "the traditional custodians" are being pushed into doing this by white politically correct advisors .

It's not a chain link fence from what I saw but a 5 strand wire rope fence.

That they have it fenced takes away from the areas natural beauty.

They didn't have fences around it for 30,000 years.

Even if the ban hadn't been put in place & I went there ... I'd have no desire to climb it. And not just because of age & lack of fitness. I'm lazy.

As for the local Anangu complaining that they are bringing in outside Aboriginals to work there ....I'd suggest they take a look in the mirror as to why that is. They're feckin lazy.

This bloke has to be an outsider.  Grin

Don't they do climbing tours of the harbour bridge?

I notice you didn't list any hills or mountains there Brian. Why is that?

I noticed he didnt list the roof of his house either..

My house is not public land, Cods.  Roll Eyes

and yes I do believe I read somewhere where you can climb the Syd Harbour Bridge....if you pay... Wink Wink

Under supervision, Cods, under supervision.  Strangers are not allowed to climb Sydney Harbour Bridge or any other place I mentioned.  Funny that, 'cause that is what some fools are demanding they being allowed to do on Uluru.

I am unsure why people who will more than likely never, ever climb Uluru are so upset by the idea that the Traditional Owners have decided to stop people climbing it.  Pauline Hanson changer her mind after climbing part way and decided that climbing it was dangerous.  Why aren't they willing to accept her word?  Mmmm?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

SO ........................ people can now climb Ayers Rock under supervision?  Who'd have thunk it, given the current hand-over of a national icon to a group who mostly have no ties to the area and the ghetto fence around it?

Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

No Grap .... totally closed ... no more climbing no how.

Read da sign brudda.
