Even if true (its not the Quran, so doesn't count for me), why is this apparent change of heart by Muhammad hypocricy that is equivalent to a drunken Moroccon obeying the apparent Quranic command to sexually assault women, but ignoring the prohibition on alcohol?

Muhammad practiced hypocrisy on a far greater scale. Perhaps if he spent a few decades raping and pillaging we could compare him with Muhammad. As it is he is only a petty criminal. And if you kill a man, you're a murderer, Kill many, and you're a conqueror, Kill them all, you're a god.
