anyone experienced what's known as the paranormal? Maybe one of your parents or kids or spouses?

Did their (or your own) paranormal experience cause you to wonder, 'Why is this so? '

or did you dismiss it as bs

because of course your kids or spouse or parents are hallucinating, right. Or lying

On the other hand, maybe you did experience the paranormal and it comes to mind every now and then? And you wonder how to reconcile that experience with ordinary-life? Or maybe death?

Ever discussed that experience?

No?

Once or twice with someone sworn to secrecy?

Afraid people will judge you and tell others you're off your meds?

What better place, then, to discuss one or more experiences which didn't conform with your previous 'reality' than in a fringe topic forum where you can remain anonymous

That's what fringe forums are for

They say one third of the world's population has experienced the paranormal. That's one person in three

So one in three people will resonate to what you have to impart. Two out of three will dismiss your experience

One in three is pretty good. So if OzPol decides to retain Fringe, you should find an interested audience for what you have to relate

Don't keep it to yourself. Submit your paranormal experience to Fringe and hear what others think. You never know .. someone with a similar experience might pipe up. So you'll learn something from each other and it will be a lot more interesting than many other topics

and even if no one responds to your account of your experience, out there might be someone who experienced something very similar and for them, just knowing you experienced the same sort of thing will restore their faith in their own senses and help them feel far less alone

now, wonder if the page has turned yet in order we can see those hidden comments from Bobby and who knows who else ...

You have no idea what Light would do so you should not make judgment calls based on your own assumptions.

Personally, I think all this sub-forum banning that goes on is ridiculous and just exhibits personal spite and is a big reason so many people have left.

We all know Freediver is a Freemason , whom owns this show ..

But we want to see all the votes revealed at the end Vic ..

We all know you are a Freemason as well and thats fine ,

Yet spare us the secrecy .. at the end , post the votes thanks..

And Spot if I do win I will not bann anyone ,

Unless if they post child porn , which will be deleted , and after a warning, if they continue to do so , they will be banned for a short period ..

I think in the beginning, especially when Light was in the lead, the poll when it had 10-ish votes was more representative of the Fringe, but since then it seems to have morphed into a greater political left vs right, liberal vs conservative, establishment vs fakenews forum-wide debate.

One thing I don't really understand is the notion that the content posted in the Fringe would change much based on the mod.

My idea of modding the subforum was more about enforcing the rules and keeping the peace, not content moderation, at least not in the extreme some people are worried about.

But then, I'm only looking at it through my own eyes. I don't know what Light would/will do as Mod. I know he's got a shortlist of people he intends to ban.

In that vein, should I win, I would like to see a break down of who voted for what so at least Light and everyone else can see what happened.

Should Light win, I don't know if revealing the voting would be a good idea. I'll be happy to accept the result no matter what it is, but I'd be uneasy giving Light a list of people he can ban outright.

That said, that list is likely going to be people that unlike him and I, they don't really post here to begin with, so it doesn't really matter.

Maybe openness no matter who the winner would be best.

We'll leave it to the Mods to decide.

I'd like to see Fringe revitalised !

Interesting discussions !

The mod of Fringe should be someone with an interest in the topics in Fringe, imo. Someone who can attract members to Fringe and keep their interest, keep them coming back

One in three people have experienced what we lump under the umbrella of 'paranormal'

so it's not normal that so few members participate in Fringe

unless OzPol members are spiritually ded

So maybe run the poll again and see what shakes out as far as nominees go

Jasin has an interest in the odd and unusual -- why didn't he nominate?

Cods appears to me to be someone who's experienced her share of 'paranormal' events, so shame Cods didn't put up her hand

Grappler too … he's lived a life

Ajax has a tale or two to tell, for sure

Business is slow. Fringe needs a reboot to make it worthy of the name
